  1. haha kids are fussy these day and won't take any old gun Mac; if it had been a hw would have gone before you had the post up lol, 10 out of 10 for the gesture tho mate
  2. Just zeroed a photon on a cz452 yesterday and used standard 30mm high mounts and needed very little adjustment to zero it after I'd worked out how to do it
  3. Hmm should be haha; also did anyone else find that when setting up everything was totally opposite of what the booklet said X was horizontal Y was vertical plus and minus were opposite to what they should have been
  4. I know this might sound daft or been asked before but once zeroed does the photon remain zeroed when I take the batteries out to charge them or do I have to re zero every time I use it
  5. To be honest it mite be easier to to get your FAC ticket for a 22 rimmy than centre fire and it all depends on your land assuming you have some if you don't have permission you mite struggle to get a ticket
  6. Use one the same as that on a rimmy as clear as you like out to 100 plus yds
  7. I like my s410 carbine better, out with it for a few hours mooch tonite
  8. I picked up a CZ452 american with a hawke 3-9x40 and bag for £150 and its never missed a beat(missed a few rabbits tho lol) loves winchester subs
  9. Are'nt they just a s410/510 carbine with a lighter stock
  10. sounds like it needs a good service, a set of seals of ebay and a you tube video showing how to do it
  11. I know what you mean jok this time of year everything full of young uns I don't shoot much this time of year because of that( except rats )
  12. To much information for my liking, as mac says get a gun you like find the pellet it likes and and go and enjoy shooting it
  13. hopefully you'll hit 1 with it lol
  14. To be honest you don't have to shell out a fortune to buy a decent springer although quality does come at a price, I gave £40 for an old webley stingray spent a week stripping, polishing and lubing it and it turned out to be probably the sweetest springer I've owned I sold it recently and regretted it ever since, I've also owned and sold 97's, a prosport, 2 lightnings so the webley was in good company, at present all I have is a 95 which is also a nice gun to shoot smooth and accurate
  15. again not the done thing if you can't guarantee a clean kill you should'nt take the shot
  16. Did'nt think there was a season for pheasant I thought they were on the general licence for vermin now
  17. Never trust technology the best way to get the information you want is to fire the gun over all ranges with your pellet of choice and write down the results
  18. As mentioned above sometimes you can have too much I've permission on about 2000 acres but probably only got 200 acres with any vermin on it but that does'nt stop me trying for more lol
  19. Lots of big whiting being caught Hartlepool to Newcastle at the moment was out last night and had over a dozen
  20. You would have to be a big lad to use that pro sport with all that gear on top they a hefty lump on their own
  21. You'll regret it in time as a pcp is point and shoot easy, after a while it gets to easy and becomes boring then you'll want your springers back
  22. Hmm just got to ask yourself what are the most popular and accurate pellet 8 to 9 grain every time, power is nothing without accuracy
