  1. Back again guys, just took delivery of a new photon and did'nt realise mounts are not included (groan more expense) what mounts do you guys that have a photon recommend, and which gun should I put it on air rifle or rimfire
  2. thanks for the reply's guys, I took the action out of the stock wrapped it well as small as possible and told them it was toys, fingers crossed!
  3. haha well said snap i've used smk's with a rough trigger and managed and now use an s410 with a super smooth trigger(not too light)its all about enjoying shooting the gun you have
  4. as you say merlin the triggers on most pcp's are light or can be adjusted lighter and to be honest a trigger that's to light can be dangerous on a hunting rifle
  5. I have had a few over the years but have an s410 carbine I would not part with silky smooth and more accurate than I'll ever be, but saying that most pcp's are as good as mine and it all comes down to personal choice, bit like choosing a car really
  6. as above need a bit of work to smooth them out or they're rather harsh to use
  7. ok guys probably been asked many times but what courier would you recommend to send an air rifle
  8. how come you've got so many spare bags
  9. probably the one that fits you best, feels the most comfortable in your shoulder and loves the pellets your going to put through it
  10. hahaha them lightnings don't like being held but found they like RWS superfield
  11. my mate got some lighter 22 rounds can't remember what they were but went off with a crack as loud as an HMR and were not all that accurate tbh
  12. To be honest your best pellet is the one that groups best at all the ranges you shoot at be that 10 mtrs or 40 mtrs, you will find that your gun will like 1 pellet above all others and thats the one to stick with, it don't matter if that pellet is light or heavy
  13. Seasons greetings to all and I hope santa got a photon in his sack for little old me
  14. Thanks for that mate the gun looks superb in the new stock think i'll ask santa what he can do for me
  15. Thanks to all the guys who suggested the bsa lightning may be hold sensitive I bow to your wisdom, I set a bench up with a pile of cushions and put 10 pellets into a pound coin sized target at 20mtrs, I would not have believed a gun could be so touchy as none of my own guns are so a big THANKS again and a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOOD HUNTING IN THE NEW YEAR to all
  16. thanks for the link geoff they look the biz, will seriously give these some consideration, I would still like a bit of feedback from some one that uses one
  17. Been toying with the idea of getting a custom stock for my cz 22 rimmy, any one out there got one and would or does it make much difference to your shooting and enjoyment
  18. but its grouping good for 3 or 4 shots then using same pellets same hold same person the whole group moves 3 or 4 inches, if it was hold would it not scatter pellets around the target, sorry guys I'm losing the will to live here never shot a springer like this
  19. I use a little old purse that belonged to my daughter got a small zip top plastic bag in it to keep the crap out
  20. I don't think they are 10 shot like the 410 more like 6 or 8 but read some posts and reviews a couple of years back and everyone that had one said they worked well
  21. sorry guys a few beers and nodded off in front of the tv, and yes its a lightning, i've never shot a gun like it and I have shot a few springers, I've never had a problem with hold and can group pellets all day long at 25/30 yds with my own springers, if its hold sensitive I can't understand why it will group 3 or 4 shots then the group moves 3 or 4 inches. tried a few different pellets an some would'nt even group
  22. the scope itself is a nikko sterling gold crown in a 1 piece mount and all screws are tight but I'll swap it for a spare hawke I have to eliminate that possibility
  23. ok guys been setting up a scope on my mates springer and was getting close as in grouping a quarter inch low and left so moved a few clicks over and up next shot was a flier next shot dead centre next 2 shoots again fliers so I had a closer look at the target and I found a clover leaf group 4 inches above the target. its grouping ok but the groups are moving about any ideas anyone
  24. I would go along with the valuation of about 500 without scope as for .20 used to own one and shot spot on with H&N FTT was pellet on pellet at 30/35 yds if I did my bit ok
