    The wife isnt up for it she would miss her family too much ...after coming back from oz ....It was a cracking morning the first bit of heat and signs of spring w'ed had I was on the river salmon fishing ..then was on the hill with the dogs ...and went digging on the sunday and I had one of those moments when I thought you know what I would miss all this

    There more I travel the world the more I come to realise that Scotland is the place for me I can be up for first light stalking then have a cast for a salmon in the morning then pheasant ,patridge pigeon goose duck etc shooting depending on time of year or ,out hunting ,digging etc ...I can be sitting in grouse butt loading for some gentry then out for a shine at night ,I can see black cock (wilfs favourite ) caper ,king fisher, eagles, ospreys, crossbills, red deer rutting ,otters pine martins wild cats etc I can be right on the coast then right in the highlands all 1/2 an hour from my h

    Spot on Penny I feed mine meat from game that has been caght or shot I also buy various minced meat pre packed in bulk and I throw a handfull of a good quality dry dog food in with it .....but in the winter when they are working I also add lard . When I was a stalker many years a go I fed my dogs on a dry meal through out the summer then when we started the stags and hinds the dogs were fed the tripe the legs and heads of the beasts we shot then back onto dry food after the season had finished ...the differance in the dogs whole wellbeing when they were on the meat was enough to convince my

    He tore all the tendons on his mid right front toe the end off last year I had it operated on but it has not been successfull...so he is having it removed next week ....he might manage the odd easy do as he will have all summer to heal but I will have to see ....I will have to give him something to do as he is going a bit mad as its not been easy for me or him seeing the other dogs getting out ..From what ive seen with the bull blood the bitches have throwen very racey and the dogs a bit heavy for me ....the pup I have is coming up for 9 months ....he has some power about him ...I like his

    Do not go near the hatsan I bought one a few years ago just to have a cheap gun to throw about first time out in the mud I had ducks and geese all around 3 miss shots and 5 jams the last jam was that bad I had to cut the catridge out the breech ... if you want a semi better buy a second hand beretta or benelli ...I have a beretta 302 sitting there I could sell you for 300

    Well Tested along with his sire ,dam grandsires granddams etc etc but finished after a career stopping injury ,,,,,produced one or two decent animals ....Not good seeing a dog like this not grafting anymore ....but enjoying a well deserved retirement inside .
