In the river systems up here it is sawbills that are a greater concern and are devastating young salmon and seatrout ...we can shoot them on licence but the numbers they quoted us to shoot will make little differance but we conducted a smaolt sheparding programme last year basically scaring birds by using flags strategacly placed gas guns shootguns etc etc ...an adult goosander will eat 300-500grams of smolt or parr a day a parr wieghs around 6-8 grams so the numbers they take if you have large numbers of these birds on your system it has to have an effect ....hopefully in a year or 2 when t

Im in Adelaide max ...my first choice would be NZ but theres nothing there with teeth so I would have to give up on the terriers ....I was going to rent my house but have decided to just sell up as I recon I could walk away from the uk with around 250k and if it doesn't work we just come back . I will be taking 4 dogs with me ...realy looking forward to this new chapter in my life and its a great opportunity for the weeman .... cheers for the positive comments lads

Over in South Australia having a look at some property and schools as it looks like I will be moving over here this year especially if that little fat prik Salmond takes over , Ive been out all week doing some 4wd courses with the female Australian rally legend Denise Collins .
