That's Morphie just over 10 months hes around the 25-26 mark and must be about 70lb ....bit bully for me but has supprising pace but wont have the wind I want but will have his uses ...great attitude to this dog bold & nothing bothers him been very easy to train its all clicking together nicely the first lurcher ive seen that loves water ...might even use him wildfowling .... roll on this season .

Ive been on the river all week and its been hard going was out tonight and drove to the other side of the river to fish of the north bank ...stopped the truck just about to get out and here was a roe buck about 100yards in the barley ....the rifle was still in the back as I zeroed it earlier ....no skill just right place at the right time ...neck shot and a good cull beast ....sorted the roe out went down to fish the pool and there was a pair of otters in it so that was the fish fooked ...not done much with the tika yet seeker but so far so good

Just got my new rifle today Tika t3 lite with ase ultra mod and schmit & bender 8x56 ...put a few rounds through it today to zero it ...very nice feel about it

Had a couple of lads of here from Yorkshire to line there bitch with Tigger....I took them down to the fishing lodge so the dogs could do the deed in piece and quiet ....Bitch was lined and when they were tied we were standing having the craic and a few fish were moving in the tail of the pool we were at ....After more craic the lads headed back down the road to Englandshire and I headed out for a cast lost 2 fish and had a load of finnock but landed my first grilse of the season ....saw a few and judging by what I saw they look like good well fed 1 wintered fish unlike last year ...lets hope

I have a bottle of 25 year old glenmorangie in my collection keeping that for my sons 18th birthday its £14 a dram in the pubs up here its the best I have tasted ....I was on the doubles one night and said to the missus to try it shes not a whisky drinker ...but downed it in as oner ...wont be doing that again

Out on an invite yesterday conditions were bang on...but not much fish about ...I fished hard all day with the big rod lost a decent sea trout and that was it failed to get into double figures for the season so far ...saw a pair of otters an osprey and a pair of kingfishers were zipping past all day feeding there young . My mate had a fish about 11lb in the morning his first of the season

I cant touch the west coast stuff ...had a bottle of 15 year old Dalwhinnie while fishing yesterday ..very nice dram . Ive got a 30 year old Glenfarclas im looking forward to opening ....if im out or just sitting in the house Glenmorangie ,Singletons or Old Puteny

North Esk.... im just back from the river and the water has been up after Saturdays rain ...it is dropping of nicely saw a lad have a 14 and 16 pounder of the same pool covered in sea lice ....got an invite to fish one of the middle beats tomoro so hopefully get into a few

My young lad has got him retrieving already ....I always have pups in the house for a month or 2 just to house train them and socialise them and retrieving is one of the first things I teach them ...hes as bold a pup as Ive ever had .
