I work a sharps gordons 2 11' 3" with a greys gx700 reel for my low water salmon /sea trout out fit ...a very good rod ...dont worry about just one line as you will need a few lines depending on conditions ....for the bigger sea trout it seems that slow and on the bottom works well but ive had some great fun with grilse and sea trout skimming a big mudler type across the top in the summer evening s

https://www.fullingmill.com/index.php?idPage=13&c=368&p=867 I fished with these a lot last year and found they worked well in flat calm ....if it is calm a put a hover tapered leader with around 10ft 4-5lb florocarbon ...the idea is that in flat calm the hover sinks the floro under the surface ......i tie some small 18 cdcs that work well ...you cant beat a summers night when there on the rise do you lads down south get a small white fly called caennis that hatches in its thousands around end of april may ?

I got back from Brunei Yesterday and after 30 odd hours travelling and getting drunk sober drunk sober drunk sober ..The ghillie on our beat had heard I was home and phoned to say there were a few few fish about ....so I loaded the single and small double hander onto the truck and headed for a cast ....our beat fishes best when what we describe it as "on the bones of its arse " and was greeted with a river that was bang on ....I saw a few fish that were not running and covered them and had one offer but I was strruggling to keep my eyes open so called it a night to return in the morning . Ive worked away for 20 years and worked all over the world ...it make s you appreciate your time at home ...but saying that ive had some fair craking times away staying in some shit holes and some of the best hotels in the world allexpences paid you take the good with the bad ..... met some great people and taken in some crakin sites i have also met plenty of clowns and found myself in some proper dodgy situations ...im in Brunei just now and in 4 hours I will be starting my journey home which will tak e around 24hours and you cant get a better feeling than the thought of going home and I cant

There is no doubt what your saying Ali but you know how much catridges I fire in a year ....Started using sipes in Nov and there is a deffinate differance like I say they are a very good killing cat I was out shooting pigeons last month over over kayle but there was a grass verge end rig about 30 yards so where our hide was some of the birds coming in were 60 yards plus as we paced it out I was consistanly dropping them at that range once you got your eye in ....I gave my mate a box and he dropped his first 10 in a row with the sipes....most of the keepers are using them up here now ....Im

Surely puting coursing type into the mix has a lot more to offer than a straight greyhound ...I have a mate that had a dog straight out of havoc ....never saw the dog work as he was old and has passed on but was told from lads I trust that he was a fair animal ....I have seen stuff work out of the dog and one bitch is one of the best lurchers I have seen .....another big red dog was ok..made alot of easy dos look difficult it went down to liverpool and I hear its doing well just needed more stuff ...and saw a young dog start and it was very impressive to say the least

If I bred a litter I'd keep as many as I could on for what ever amount of time ot took wether it be 8 week or 8 month. If Your going through all the hassle of breeding you want to make sure you get what you want your words not mine ...im not going to argue about it with you ...but I would rather put everything into 1 pup than little into a few and if you realy wanted to know if you picked a good un you wont find that out for a few years not months

I wont start bollox but can you explain to everyone if say you had a litter of 6 pups how you would go about ,rearing,kenneling ,inoculating ,training,feeding ,socialising ,stock breaking ,entering ,etc etc 6 pups for 8 months and then picking your choosen tyke and then finding homes for the others .... My old man was a brick layer but I cant build a wall
