    I will be spending most of the summer in Vietnam ,Indonesia and Malaysia Ian ...get back end of August right in time for the ducks,geese and last few months months of the salmon season

    There are a few laws in England that Im glad are not enforce North of the Border ...All .shooting of wildfowl has to be with non toxic imo a stupid law we can still shoot wild fowl in certain situations with lead ....

    Speaking to the lads with creels at sea they are saying that there are loads of salmon and sea trout out at sea so the first bit of rain the NE rivers should get some great runs ....anyone ever wanting a bit of salmon fishing give me a shout

    This will be my last day on the river for a while ...time to go and make a pound ...saw 3 grilse moving so changed from a red francis to a small tube covered them for ages then got a crakin take and a great fight from a 11-12lb bar of silver splattered in sea lice ...got a good vid of my young lad netting it ...hopefully when im back the grilse are in

    Was all set this morning to go to Jakarta but got the phone call that im away to Ho Chi Min city on Saturday instead so wasn't expecting to get this stalk ..... headed out around my house hardly a drop of wind but what wind there was was easterly which was spot on for this bit of ground ...ground was brick hard and everything seemed to crunch with every step .....spotted the back of a beast about 300 yards but it was a doe so managed to get past her without disturbing her ....I knew there was a buck working a small wood but with that much cover I didn't fancy my chances ...coming along the si

    Just put the Tracer LEDray 1000 tactical onto my Tika .222 seems a very well made piece of kit and has some handy features ....any one else have one and how do they rate them

    Was out the other day lifting my fox snares and cage traps as im away to Vietnam this weekend for work ...I have a free range chicken farm with 350000 birds as I was driving along the a filed beside it a family of stoats came along the hedge .....gave a squeak and one of them popped it head up for a few seconds enough for me to drop it and I passed it out at 72 yards ...great wee rifle this and have loads of confidence in it allowing me to take shots I normaly would have a second thought about taking ...love watching these wee animals but chickens and stoats don't mix.

    It takes a bit of trial and error depending how spicy or dry you want it

    Heres my set using a plastic box bulb and pc fan I use a mixture of cider vinegar and lea and perins as my marinade and safari biltong spice
