How did you break your french? bit careless of you!! It was broken as it came out of my mouth must have chipped it with my teeth or something I can speak and understand enough french to chat about hunting and thats what i did at every opportunity! The old boy was happy to chat back to the jibbering English man! it was the international language of hunting!

This is an interesting thread, what amuses me is all the people who state they would like one in the UK, there are already working dachshunds in the UK most are used for tracking wounded deer by stalkers, i also know of ones used underground by a hunt terrierman, used for rough shooting, used by a falconer and lots used in small packs for rabbits and foxes! Its just that the working ones in the UK are called Teckels as the germans call them and the vast majority of working uk Teckels are imported from Germany and are registered with the uk teckel society which keeps a list of the working o

just to say sorry to anyone i have upset online, some of the abusive PM's on other forums haven't helped! I always have an opinion and stand by them, however i am aware that i have argued a bit nastily and gone on about a few issues more than i normally would, i stand by whatever i said, but didn't mean to get nasty enforcing my opinion! i will try and resort to taking the piss instead and will always remeber the below!

Nice dogs manipulus! In the UK the working dogs tend to be called Teckels, the dachshunds name tends to be the show bred dogs, there is a society for the working teckels http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/sunsong/UK%20Teckel/ukteckel.htm I have a teckel dog pup and a teckel x bitch something i agree with John Hubery on, in a few years they will be very popular here, the drive and scenting ability they bring is second to none, for hunting above and below ground and also for tracking they are very capable

Dog shoots man in freak accident Last Updated: Thursday, 27 November 2008, 00:34 GMT A hunter was shot in the bottom by his dog when it jumped into his boat and landed on his gun's trigger. Matthew Marcum was preparing to set out on an expedition in Portland, Oregan, when the accident happened. Recovering after hospital treatment Mr Marcum said he held no grudge against three-year-old Labrador, Drake, who he described as "a good dog". Last Updated: Thursday, 27 November 2008, 04:34 GMT

Just cos other people do it doesn't make it right, and those two coppers have been punished and i am pretty sure they will lose their jobs also or recieve large fines from their pay! There is a time and way to discipline a dog and punching one is un-acceptable, a harsh word is usually enough, i have clipped mine with the end of a leather lead,(again this was only in the circumstances and wouldn't be a regular thing-in fact i have only even done this once and it was to distract the dog from fighting another) but would never hit one with a chain

No one is ever banged up for drink driving....the standard punishment for a first offence is a 12month ban and a large fine Second offence and its 18months and a larger fine sometimes 2years ban However driving whilst disqualified is usually prison Sounds he was lucky to get his job back.....but most people wouldn't lose their job in the first place for being done for drink driving (unless they were employed as a driver!) The video of the two beating the dogs was obviously toned down for public viewing, as i doubt that the treatment shown alone would have got them convic

http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wale...55578-22333533/ Link above to a local paper...probably not national news as there are currently more important news items, Recession, Baby P etc..... They will now have to face internal discipline, they may well lose their jobs and or be fined lots of money! Due to sub-judice, people (even police officers) cant be tried twice at the same time, now the criminal matter has finished in the courts the internal discipline will begin and i am sure they will be "done" for bringing the force into dis-repute..... However them being sacked/re

Very sad state of affairs and very true, very very very few legally held weapons are ever used in crime Its far easier to purchase an illegal gun to commit crime with than go to the extent of stealing a locked and secure legal weapon. Some legally held weapons are used in crime and that must be admitted by us, but that is usually after they have been illegally obtained by robbery or burglary and in comparison to the ease with which illegal weapons can be obtained fades into in-significance! Did anyone else recall the Sun newspaper article where one of their reporters drove to some

hi nice shooting is the 410 bakal only £95 new then? Mine was when i bought it about 2 or 3 years ago, i think they are about 20quid dearer now, mine has a 26 inch barrel, i dont know if the others have a longer barrel? its a great small gun, in pieces it would fit in a rucksack and is very light and easy to carry/use
-
With all due respect.....why not just buy a cheap .410? My single shot .410 cost me £95 brand new! you can pick up second hand ones for half that or less...... and it wouldn't be as cumbersome as a 12gauge with a converter? Here's my little .410.....bought some more cartridges today and am planning a lamping trip after some bunnies this friday with it! i thought about selling this gun....but to be honest i now think everyone should have a .410 in their cabinet besides what ever else they own! edited to add another pic

they aren't having my dry roasted

Thats what i was going to say! Plus Shotgun cert's are a civic right and they have to prove why you aren't allowed one! Firearms its the other way round and you have to prove why you need one! Ring the Firearms enquiry unit at your local nick and ask......if they say no ask why....then go to sacs and ask for help/advice!

some one else asking the same here! http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=74280

take him places with lots of rabbits, let him hunt about and hopefully sight/chase a rabbit, when it makes the cover he may follow, he will given enough opportunity and when he realises he can chase them through the undergrowth and he associates the smell with the rabbit and the fun of chasing he will be in there at the slightest scent

only time you can use the car is driving it to the MOT test centre or to another garage to have work carried out after it failed the test! Otherwise no insurance! No insurance and you liable for arrest and the car seizing!

The BNP are a political party and its a shame that the female Police officer in Merseyside has been victimised.......everyone should have the freedom to associate with who they want! wasn't WW2 about allowing people to believe in what they want and not to be forced to toe political lines from governments? There was only the one serving police officer on there and a few retired old bill (the list includes names, addresses, phone and e-mail details and some peoples occupation or former occupation and skills that could be used in political rallies) The publication of this list is bad,
