Thats exactly the same reason as myself, we're both in the same predicament here. lol. I think its such a shame that this calibre has such limited ammunition range, as with correct shot size/choke this lil gun can be used with great effectivness (when i was little uncles friend, who took me round the shoots, killed a goose with one) on rabbits, having a mooch this gun weighs nothing thought these might intrest you compo. http://www.shootinguk.co.uk/guns/ammo/1372...cartridges.html http://www.fourten.org.uk/cart.html the first article is very interesting especially as he sta

get a Hound! spaniels and terriers have noses of sort but nothing compared to a hound........teckel/beagle/basset or a hybrid ........Bushing is basically small scale free hunting and a small hound is ideal!

i too like the Number 5's in 3 inchers...buts its finding a shop that stocks them as you know Sterry! I cant imagine there is that much difference between the 5's and the 6's in size and hence pattern but i feel that i get cleaner kills with teh 5 due to the slightly larger pellets ......it gives me the confidence, perhaps it makes only a neglible difference but I like the confidence of teh 5's..........saying that my fully choked baikal .410 is eating 6's and 7's as thats all any of the local gunshops sell! the lack of choice in 410 carts really upsets me as in teh 12gauge i have ever

Is it wood or a synthetic stock ? Think you may find £399 is a little too much for a 2 yr old gun ......... It is a wooden stock.I can only come down in price,if their is an offer on the table i am sure we could negotiate. i paid £440 for a new gun....took it back to the shop 2 years later...........he would only give me £100 for it and said i would be lucky to get £150 private........and that gun has only had a few shells through it and is in tip top condition even the gunshop said that, cleaned and stored right etc.......Good luck with teh sale but i feel you really need to dr

Those express are the one i'm after, but i'll be damned if my local will get some in for me , then had the cheek to tell me thats not what i want but rather i want 6s (miraculously what they had in stock) even after telling them that i exclusivly didnt want 6s, what ever happened to customer service. I suppose the problem lies because i dont want to buy a load of them but rather 2 or 3 boxes (moneys tight untill i see how this interveiw for a butchers in a few weeks...fingers crossed) If i find any again i will let you know...in fact i will buy you a box as well as my own and post -

I had some express .410 carts, 3inchers loaded with number 5's and i loved them, my local Gunshop just happened to have some in.....he hasn't had any since and all teh shops round here only stock .410 carts in 7's....6's if your lucky Perhaps try one of the online order companies like just cartridges? i might try and take the .410 out this week I like larger shot too, i tend to use 5's in my 12gauge, and feel disappointed with teh choice for the .410 -

Soultrader Glad she has a neighbour like you! and i did read it right she wanted a dog for company as well as an early warning, and if she walks rather than drives the dog will have a happy life, good luck in getting her a mutt! Compo

No and it wont keep her company when her husband is away either.......the original post does say the couple are well off....so i shouldn't imagine the cost of this would be prohibitive either.......but do they already have something like this? CCTV is all well and good but the suspects have got to be know to the police viewing it and the CCTV has to be really good quality to recognise them, unless they are caught in teh act and the description again in the original post indicates that access is gained by teh suspects by a footpath near the house that leads to teh town and the house in question

In my experience ............ CPO's are generally the fattest most stupid and useless of all the available Constables, hence why they get sent to drive around drinking tea frightening old ladies. You make the above statement seemingly assuming I have no experience of the Security Industry, are you suggesting that any of the involved parties would have received the best, most practical advice from the CPO? Let's be fair here, consistency isn't one of the Polices strong points. So "get a dog" is the advice given, dog is obtained and duly bites someone, reckon the CPO will take the b

too many seem to have answered without reading teh question. He doesn't need a guard dog its his neighbour who is acting on advice of a crime prevention officer as the lad who posted this is the neighbour and the only difference between the houses is the lad who posted this has dogs too many are mentioning guard dogs, i believe what was suggested was a "watch" dog, a completely different prospect, she (and anyone really) doesn't need a dog to take on a burglar, what a dog should do is let you know there is someone about, not detain them or eat them, and i refer to my previous post, tel

You answered it yourself! re-read what you wrote about your dogs! which one snaps/yaps/growls and snarls? the terrier! a guard dog doesn't need to take on the burglar, just cause enough noise to make the burglar think that someone is coming (maybe even alert you the neighbour) I would reckon she would be best with a small and friendly terrier thats not allowed to mix with folk other than her and her husband, a small dog not hard to care for/house/feed, but a brave dog that will make lots of noise! and the dog needs permanent access to teh outdoors to be effective

No, your right there are some mercenary people about a fe wyears ago my brother bought a shotgun from a bloke, we were chatting (this was may time) he asked what we do soe my brother was saying he had a lurcher a couple of terriers and ferrets......the bloke says i do a bit of ferreting........but your keen keeping ferrets through the summer, he simply killed them come spring and bought new ones august time i said my piece and left the bloke was a twat

vets tend to have a policy of removing both as its a condition that can be passed on and they take both to definetley ensure it doesn't breed. However my advice would be wary of vets who get over excited when taking a puppy for its jabs...it can take a while for them to drop but they should drop before the dogs about 6 months old...........some vets try and use monorchidism as a way to get the dog neutered and make more money! and they identify this condition in young dogs that are still dropping their nuts in an attempt to make more money etc... -
I've got bored too...off to feed my ferrets

let the evidence be the judge, not your opinions! and if the evidence is such that the officers involved have commited offences (they may have justification for their actions) then let them rot in hell......but hear all the evidence first...... and it wont come out in the media for a long time due to not wanting to prejudice any court action against those involved, thats why the senior management never give statements other than "its concerning" & "we will investigate" etc....they dont want to defend or condemn until the CPS and possibly the courts have made their decision? not for

You know i wouldn't kow tow to them! Trespass is a complicated offence, but also quiet simple..........invitation can be withdrawn at any point, just because i invite you in today doesn't mean i would tomorrow! Its probably best though to state you are only invited in this once to see whatever, and end it with please dont come back.......but if a person is invited in and you then want them to leave they must, or you can use force to throw them out! Thats the law that covers doormen at pubs/clubs the punter has had their invitation withdrawn and is asked to leave....if they dont they get

Of course I watch the news. If I'd been the fella that got knocked to the ground, I'd have gone nowhere near the copper in full riot gear, so it wouldn't have happened. I like my rights, but I'm usually sensible enough to know when to relinquish them for the sake of my health. And he died of a heart attack, 10 minutes after being pushed over. Which is a rather different complexion to what you just wrote. Which rather shows how things can be misinterpreted. and what about the young women that was slapped and then beaten to the ground with a police batten for swearing at him bunch o
