  1. Spot on with the shot placement VM . Well done with the new permission, tw*t. atb
  2. Typical "Mac day" - I love HW 100`s, Fookin` hate those HW 100`s, my knot has gone, where`s my Raider, TW*T, was i "coming in or was i going out", "was i going up or was i coming down" ? atb
  3. Yes, with Simon on the .22 zero also, using Air Arms Fields, running at about 11.5 ft/lbs, my HW 100 ks is zeroed at 28 yds giving the pellet a flight path within an inch circle from 7yds to 31yds. No hold under is needed with this zero but hold over is after 31 yds.So you will need to learn your mill dots / ranges above 31 yds precisely. Again hope it helps any.
  4. Which gun and caliber did you use James ? As an edit, no argument on them is there ? atb p.s. I suppose £10 is a start towards a bipod.
  5. Mac try putting a zero of 28 yards only, into her and with AA Fields, or similar, you should be on or around a pbr of 6.8 yds to 31.7 yds - "your pellet is within a 1 inch kill zone inside those distances." You wont need hold under at that zero, only hold over to learn from your scope set up.- Now you`ll get a rabbit or ten with that rifle under your arm . atb
  6. Hi Jonathan, .177 running at about 11.5 ft/lbs using AA Fields 8.4 grain, zero at 37 yds or 33.4 mtrs, your pellet will stay within a 1 inch flight path from aprox` 9 yds to 41 yds. After 41 yds your mill dots/ranges will kick in and you must know them precisely according to your scope/ set up. Hope it helps any.
  7. I cannot express enough how lethal a .177 HW 100 is on small game. I have the .22 ks and that is just as lethal when you know your milldots but my kt (.177) will be going nowhere. The picture to the left is a typical result of an outing with the HW 100 in any format. atb
  8. First date and she said NO ! Mac she is one of the "finest" .22 pcp`s out there and it`s her fault you missed three times on the first night out together ? I totally agree with the lads about giving yourself time with her. I have exactly the same rifle and use her on open land,- it is very hard to miss "in daylight" but very easy to misjudge my ranges at night with the more pronounced trajectory of .22. Plink with her in the light, then dark hours with your set up Mac and i think you will soon see why the HW 100`s are so popular.
  9. I knew you would join the club. Which caliber did you opt for Mac ?
  10. Very interesting read. I have just bought the Air Arms TX 200 HC .177 and find her to be very accurate indeed. We were setting targets of three colored spinner in front of each other and offset so as to give a "threaded shot effect" and we would nominate a colored spinner to each other. For a springer off a bench rest she was excellent and kept well in there with the pcp`s. The T-Rex is not a light gun Bernie but she sits "rock steady" in shooting sticks - hide shooting is my method rather than the "mooch around" style. Anyway goo
  11. Thanks for your patience Moxy - you know i`m trying . Camera Rez ! Those lads of mine make Archie Hood look like he`s a virgin. The only way i can get them to take me to the camera shop is if there is a shag on offer from the counter girls. - don`t know where they get it from . I promise - that camera is" coming "- (erm - please excuse the pun)
  12. Put the final zero into my Air Arms TX 200 today off a predator bench rest and i was very suprised at the accuracy managed. I`m sure many a lad can better the results but a 5p sized spinner at 35 yards a regularly struck target. On paper targets a 10 p size target was rarely missed.A 5p size target 3 to 4 times out of 5 The HW 100 off her own bipod was her usual self, "could strike a match" There were 24 lads shooting this afternoon and myself and one other had a springer, all others were pcp. So there it is my "back up rifle" is set for the hide
  13. Lincoln Jeffries, 1919, tuned by SFS , on a bipod with a cheap sling. Bayonet not included. or maybe a full length HW 100 sporter in .177 is best (night time shooting - unsurpassed) .22 hard to judge distances at night Good luck with your choice Mac
  14. Well that rules us two out :tongue2: atvbmac  I`ve been expecting that one and more all day Tw*tty
  15. If you know how to snare it is nigh on impossible to catch anything other than rabbits. Firstly dont snare hedge or fence lines - but their runs/ beats - oh yes set late evening and collect first light "always".
  16. Night vision on a quality pcp with a quality marksman, or "snares", or both. A good week of this type of attention would put a real hole in the rabbit population. Why not tell the police before you start ? good luck.
  17. Hi Mac,all, I`ve watched and learned from many a shooting lad/lass on this forum and one thing i have learned (amongst many things) from you Mac is that you miss your Raider. We have all made mistakes in life - go get another Raider Mac, seriously, get another Raider. I dont think i could achieve the results a HW 100 kt gives me, with any other rifle, but that`s my confidence, not yours mate, what i`m trying to say is (hope this is right) - "confidence and belief" is probably 90 % of building your shot . Another thing i know of you Mac - you like things to be s
  18. eh ? i`m sure i`ve got a tin of Eley Wasp .22 some where and a part box of Marksman .22
