Well lads, as you know I`ve been shooting spring rifles mostly this year and thoroughly enjoyed hunting with them. So I thought I`d have a change, checked her zero this afternoon - still spot on and off me and Kaiser went. AA Fields, 8.4g, 4.52, deadly combination, - just the one again which tells me they are under a bit of control again. 41 yards lazed. atb Mark.

Yer cheeky fecker , I`m always working, " honest" The 127 I use Falcon Accuracy Plus 13.43 g, 5.52. deadly accurate and running a very consistent 610 ft/sec - 11.1 ft/lbs. My 124 I use JSB Exact Express 7.87g, 4.52. also extremely accurate and now running 810 ft/sec - 11.47 ft/lbs.( just had a V-Mach engine fitted by Lyn Lewis) Here you go Comanche The 124 mk1 is 1979. The 127 mk1 is 1978. The rifle above is my 124. atb. Mark. -

FAC conversion dilemma
mark williams replied to Eradic8r's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I`ve never been one to push my boundaries with a sub 12 ft/lb rifle, always keeping as close as possible to any quarry as I can and still do. However, after some conversations with forum members I was persuaded to push out to 50 yards plus, if required and now I will do so in the right weather conditions. I work with the lightweight JSB Exact Express 7.87, 4.52 This was a 53 yard head shot, just the other evening, with a TX 200, instant lights out. As said, once your rifle is calibrated correctly and you know your mill dots -
HW 97K , ready for decoying.
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Why do you ask that Mitch ? -
Here's the HW 97K .177 set to go. 5p size targets at a 38 yd zero off Primos sticks. I`m seriously considering using spring rifles only soon lads as I find myself far more involved with my shooting. The Pro Sport / Classic HW77will be on a fine Zero also. atb. Mark.
-
Top shooting, as per lads. I`ll bet your glad you listened to me about the HW 97`s , eh Jimmy ?
-
Off primos sticks at 53 yards, one mill dot hold over precisely using JSB Exact Express 7.87 g, 4.52. atb. Mark.

48 shot with 15 lost ? Come on Billy, Craig, you're slacking. Pair of Twats ! Great shooting lads atb. Mark.

Range board
mark williams replied to Furrosious ferreter's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I use a piece of wallpaper on some 1/4 ply at 28 yards zero for .22 and 38 yard zero for .177. " On a perfectly still day " ( ish) Good old fashioned ground workers tape or modern range finder for precise ranges. ( I`m not a chair gun fan ) , although the method is excellent, I love old school. Get your first zero, leave your preferred magnification settings alone and work back at 5 yard increments making note of your mill dot to point of impact results through your scope. Works for me and gets me some extremely accurate re -
As per BN, nice shooting . I didn't know you had a " proper rifle" Jim. x Again, nice shooting BN. atb. Mark.

Well this topic certainly made my Sunday morning up for me, great read lads . No one thinks that James - " Honest". Good on you lads, Mark.
-
Well each to their own, I know but I`ve hunted with a short stroked TX 200 HC MK3 .177 for over 5 years now and hell is that rifle accurate. She's a Rat Works stage 4 tuned rifle that as soon as the Mamba cross hairs are placed on the target, you know its lights out, every time. My Pro Sport is untouched and shooting as they come out of the box. To be honest lads I`m loath to changing anything on her as she is one deadly hunting rifle. She also is .177 cal. I`ve held back with the hunting photos for

Erratic groups at 30 yards
mark williams replied to slipper's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi Slipper, nice to hear you say you are on the mend now, good on you Slipper you mentioned two or three on the bull , then erratic, then two or three back on the bull at 30 yards. I`m with maha87`s thoughts on your problem mate, with respect it maybe technique ? Firstly find your best grouping pellets, clean the barrel yet again and note that bulls eyes and bad groups will become better. Slipper take no grip whatsoever of the fore end of your stock, let it lye on the supported palm of your hand
