Excellent shooting, shot placement Mitch atb Mark.

Well i to ventured out in this miserable weather, deciding to take the Pro Sport. I refused two presentations with all the bobbing around in the trees but took this one in a lull of the wind. I am not going out with the air rifles again until a break in the weather comes. atb Mark.

Before the V-Mach she was 10.2 ft/lbs and had a snappy recoil . She is 11.52 last time out and expected to level off at 11.7 ft/lbs. Lovely shot cycle now, with excellent accuracy. atb Mark.

Terrible conditions here Matt but fair play and good shooting. " You got out and bagged up " Well done mate, atb Mark.
-
Joe treat her to a V-Mach kit. They end up around 11.7 ft/lbs and shoot like a Venom eighty shot cycle . Accuracy is top drawer.

Pump it up, twist to one side and pull back chamber at the front of the rear sight, load BB or pellet , close and then pull back circular probe at the rear of the pistol until it clicks and then push back closed, - ready to fire. Crossman 1377 nearly bought one as a school kid.

Please let us know how you get on PG Don`t get disheartened from any knock backs as there will be some you know , so do expect them. By the way, welcome to the forum . atb Mark. -
`Kin `ell - Asda baked beans ! Get yer night vision on that Phil - sellotape it on or a big jubilee clip. A proper test Absolutely lovely job Jimmy/ Sean. I`d have that old girl on show. Good on ya Phil getting that refurbished.

The older 25 mm cylinder, full length, 77`s are a lovely gun Mitch. Stay away from a pitted action mate, it tells the world what a twat the previous owner was. Stay under serial number 1301036, rifles numbered after this are the 26mm cylinder and no where near as sought after. Price wise, £250 for an old, good order pre- 1301036 . They are out there. Would i sell mine ? - Never !!!

Beautiful job again Jimmy, credit to you both. atb Mark .

Hi FM. I`ll buy that rifle off your mate now, money is waiting ! ( first refusal please, if older, clean and tidy 35 E preferably ) Does that answer your question ? atb Mark.

Give over Jamie - pressure. Here`s what happened with the new engine fitted today between showers. Confidence is sky high with the beautiful shot cycle of this 124. Jamie that Airmax 2-7 x 32 should prove to be a lovely set up. First 8 shot zero. JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87g, Just 25 yds this first zero lads, i`ll take her out to a 38 yd zero when there`s a break in the weather. atb Mark. -

Here you go mate, The UL goes very well indeed on her Rez as she weighs just 7 lbs without the scope. I have given up on the old 30/30 ret` as my eyes are not of a young shooter`s anymore So a light, AO scope would fit the bill i thought and i`m far from disappointed with the ultra light MTC Genesis. A fine, sharp zero is next. -
She`s all set up again now lads and the shot cycle is immensely improved. Nice lock time too. Next job is to zero and calibrate her. First readings on the chrono` with JSB Exact Express are an average of 812 ft/sec and i`m told this will rise very, very slightly and level off nicely to around 11.7 ft/lbs from 11.52. Here she is lads. Very well boxed up. Scope and sling in position. atb Mark.

The V-Mach, MK1 FWB Sport 124 is on her way home.
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Not landed yet Phil, Jeff. Joking aside Jim there`s a lot to be said in that statement. I`m sure you have picked up on my soft point for the old FWB`s and my growing up with one (127). The ex Venom gunsmith was having a chat with me about the new HW 35`s being a very well tested design of air rifle and said that a new 35 with a V Glide was a beauty of a rifle to own. He also stated that the Walther rifles were built on a lot of Venom ideas but the triggers were crap, as i found out. -
Feck me that`s looking proper smart Jimmy

Better keep my eye on the chronograph results this next few months me thinks. -
Well lads i sent my FWB Sport 124 off to Lyn Lewington ( Old Venom stable gun smith) for a little fettle and a V-Mach engine . Got the phone call tonight, she`s ready Sitting at 11.64 ft/lbs with JSB Exact 8.4g I`m looking forward to this old lady coming home. This lovely old scope that Tom Burrows gave me ( thanks Tom) will be replaced with a Genesis Ultra Light bought from Rez. Rez`s scope needed a proper rifle under it you see. Midweek photos t

Yes, i still have your address Jimmy . I`ll pop it in the post over the next week and let you know when it`s on it`s way. Big thank you to you Jimmy. atb Mark.

It`s stopped working for some reason Jimmy, - age, leather washers etc, so i`m not sure if you would be wasting your time or not. If you still fancy a bit of fun with her though i`d love to take your very kind offer on. ( very much ) atb Mark.

Yeah, thought so, she`s gonna be a beauty Jimmy. You have a good eye for those stocks mate.
