I found with my ultra it preferred to only be filled to 190 bar, anything above and it started going wild. Also, I know a lot of us swear by them, but I tested two guns, on two chrono's, one was a mates do bro mk4 and I used my Skan, well you wouldn't believe the difference between the two, still unsure which one is lying, I want to believe mine must be accurate as it self tests every time and all seems to be in the correct parameters, but my mate says he trusts his one more as it gives the results he wants to see !

Well, I had been reading so many things on here about slow cooking that today I was bought a slow cooker for a present (looking after a mates dog). Now, I love me grub, and I love the idea of making as much as I can, but in reality I am a terrible cook, so, desperately looking for idea what I can do with this slow cooker, Suggestions please.

It won't be mixy on a hare, I have never ever seen or heard of a hare with mixy, I do not think it can cross over from rabbits,sure someone will confirm or prove me wrong on that though. Sometimes they do sit tight, very tight, I have seen them all but trod on in the fields, they have two means of avoiding predation, run like f**k, and sit tighter than a tight thing to not get spotted, 'twas mighty unlucky to get trod on, but it's not an everyday occurrence. Yes you can, I put plenty of rabbits in the freezer with a pcp. As above, and also in my opinion it won't be too long before the pcp's become licenced as well.

In reality people don't source food, nor do they regularly attend to look after the pigs. So they pay for the feed, which I usually collect and visit a few times a year. Peak times, April/May when the pigs arrive. Summer when it is nice to visit the countryside. And again just before slaughter, to wave goodbye. One last cuddle. The agreement is also that they pig sit when I go on holiday. It didn't work out too well this year. I have stalwart members who help with hut moving and windbreak assembly and food collection when I was poorly. I would prefer it if they were more involved a

Sounds to me like a bloody good way to get others to pay To fill your freezer. better have a go at that on my place. To be fair to all members, you should also pay the same as them, but take a fair rent for the ground, and the workload should be split between everyone.

I am down for 2.5 pigs this year. It was 3 but I let another member join. I supply the environment. Feed them at 6.30 am and again at 6pm. Do all the looking after, though members are encouraged to join in, else it is expensive pork. Cart them off to the abattoir, sob on the way home. But we also have socials, I supply the meat and usually they are at mine. It is a big social event. Encouraging people to get involved with real farming. So am I right in thinking you get the two and a half pigs for free to pay for the ground and work you do ?

Just speak to a local arable farmer, they are usually happy to sell a bag of wheat or two, my mate usually has 50 or 60 ton stored over winter, I just go and see him and get a few hundred weight sacks at a time. Speak to Heygates farm feed for pig food, they deliver all over the country, I have an account and it works out a lot cheaper for sow nuts and anything else you need. (If you get really stuck I can order any food on my account for you) but it really is quite simple to open an account. Ps, you don't really need to buy in bulk to get it cheaper, I see guys buying two bags a t

Sorry to hear of your loss pal, doesn't matter what it is, when it's part of your life for so many years it becomes all sorts, a friend, confidant, entertainer, you name it, it leaves a big hole, and the consolation from it is that you gave it your best and it had a good life, ps, I think you done the right thing, as difficult as it is putting a loved one down, it's your duty of care and the very last thing you can do for any animal is a painless suffering free ending. Chin up, and get a gun dog, you won't regret it.

A great idea, and one I like, knowing the food that goes into them is ideal, but...£200 for half a pig, I think the costings are out if it isn't for commercial gain. Just realised £9 for 25kg's of wheat, that's a right Royal rip off, I pay £2 a bag direct from my mates farm and that's what he sells at for all his feed wheat. I can buy it screened, dusted and bagged from the local feed shop for £5 a bag, and they sell to the general public.

Excuse me for been thick, but exactly how does killing one person make you a terrorist ? Did he make bombs to blow people up, was he planning attacks on many politicians ? Was this the first of many murders he was planning to commit, was he in collusion with others who had the same ideals ? Many many people are in prison for killing another human, are they all terrorists ? It's actually a good job, and with the right person it doesn't need to be a bad thing, the correct approach with an middle of road attitude can make positions like this a good thing for everyone. However my fears are it will be some halfwit bordering on anti that takes the positions and just push things further downhill.

Think it depends on your area mate, slaughter and butchery here, on porkers about the same size £70 is about right, and you say how you want it but the more sausages you have they charge a little more for casings and mix

Live bait rig works at dungie I can assure you of that ! Nothing attracts whiting quicker than lug, to be honest, if they are in you will get pestered by them, but upping the bait size and hooks will mean you hook less of the smaller ones and it puts more scent in the water for longer to attract mr coddy
