  1. Fancy sharing some trolling tips, I’ve done plenty of saltwater but never fresh. No problem, plenty a room on the boat, might be a bit cold and bouncy but you northerners are supposed to be tough ?
  2. I’ve got plenty of ibc tanks ? was just concerned if they would live ok without all the fancy filters and water dipping you boys do, I need low maintenance, feeding isn’t a problem but no way will the pond ever be filtered and such like. sounds promising though, will have a look around and see if I can find any local.
  3. Right fellas, I’m off to Loch awe in April, taking my boat this time as well. looking to get out after some pike, mainly deadbaiting, but will spend some time trolling as well, might even have a go for Ferox. Anyone on here fished it before, any pointers ?
  4. How well do those sturgeon survive in natural ponds ? ive a pond in my garden about 30 foot across and 7 to 8 foot deep, always said I would like some fish in it and fancy some sturgeon.
  5. Not totally sure about that unles things have changed, 4 years ago my Mrs got done, 56 in a 50 through roadworks, she got the class and a fine, went to it and of the 19 people attending it 11 were caught driving to the sat nav speed rather than the speedo reading. The funny part about it all, it was in wales on a work trip, the class was in wales some place as it’s held by the county you get caught in, so she travelled up, stayed the night and did the class then came home, 5 or 6 months later she received a letter from highways policing unit along with a cheque, the camera was not suppose
  6. Yep, I’ve got one of each and have swore they will never leave me, the accuracy is out of this world, well made, they handle better than anything else and I’ve had all the top end ones.
  7. Damn fine choice, I’ve got two, and two of the best I have ever owned, on a par if not better than my crickets and that takes some doing.
  8. Go for it, best thing I ever did when I was younger. I’ve never looked back. either educate yourself or pay a good accountant, it can be a minefield knowing what you can claim, but always makes me smile. I am under cis, so 20% put aside, never had to pay it, but it leaves me a nice buffer, soon as I get near the higher tax brackets then it’s time for a new van or digger, dumper, and a break from work ?, rather have nice kit than big tax bill. So much cash work in this country I’m suprised anyone ends up paying much tax, but I wouldn’t do that as it’s naughty ?
  9. Looks superb, but I wouldn’t say full, I can still see some plate on show ?
  10. I’ve got the ranger and it’s had a workout, and then another, and another, get the picture yet, it works bloody hard every day on and off road and it’s met every challenge well. need good tyres (bf Goodrich) as I do a good mix of road/mud and some weight in the back as it’s a bit light on the back end. But overall very impressed with it in general, don’t like the fuel consumption ? It’s time for a new truck now it’s 3 yrs old, I would like the Isuzu this time, not because the Ford is bad, but the warranty on the Isuzu clinches it for me.

    Brexit

Perhaps it made more sense to leave and therefore the campaign looked to be better
  12. I heard about this on radio today, disgusting, I tried ringing in to have my rant, why should my taxes be paying to keep a person like that here, let alone the unborn fathered by isis. she openly admitted no remorse or regrets, and that she wanted to return as she knew her and the child would be looked after, basically benefits all round. As far as I am concerned she should rot in the hole she chose, she gave up her British passport and all rights when she left to marry an isis fighter.we don’t need folk like her in this country, I’m not convinced we shouldn’t send her
  13. Beds has changed a lot since then. Which part was you in ? welcome to the forum
  14. Two strange men, you saying corbyn ain’t strange ??? I make it 3 strange men?
  15. I reckon they have a very similar head to the Tamworth, in shape not colour obv.
  16. Will try and get some, they ain’t very photogenic, never sit still for a second, you can see the wild in them alright
  17. I’ve got two but can’t find a decent boar, might have to try going back to a Tamworth.
  18. I bet everything runs and hides when they see you coming ?
  19. Top man, support British farmers where you can. i have a few Oxford sandy black ready in a couple of months, never tried them before so be interesting to hear what you think of the taste.
  20. Got a steal on that you got a steal on that, looks like it’s had a lot of pellets through it but no bother, stick some pics up of the block on both sides, also get some air in it and check what it’s running at, that was one of the favourite rifles for tinkerers. If that’s a genuine mk3, then for what you paid you could afford the have the barrel reblued and still be well in pocket.
  21. I hear a lot of people talking about the reg, but I’ve owned 20 or more of these since they first came on the scene, I still have the very first one I bought, and have never had any bother with regs, other than the usual service and o rings of course.
  22. Bottle could have been changed for a later one, doesn’t matter what it is at that price it’s a good deal.
  23. Buy it, that’s a good price, if you don’t want it let me know and I will drive over and have it.
  24. I doubt it, mine don’t get a hard life but 2 yr seems to be about average.
