The smooth haired collie and the Hungarian Limited looked like scruffy old mongrels to me ! Usually watch the hounds and terriers.........and flyball has a good number of lurchers running these days. (I expect Greyman will be round later, to kick my head in !)

In case anyone thinks I'm picking on Ms.Streep........... Kate Winslet, Eva Green, Natalie Portman, Whoopi Goldberg, Penelope Cruz, Tilda Swindon and Emma Thompson ( among others too many to list !) are guilty of the same glaring hypocrisy and appalling double standards. To commemorate the occasion, Film4 are showing "Suffragette" tonight - remembering past women's fight for equality and the right to be treated with respect. It stars Meryl Streep, who holds these issues very close to her heart, and regularly makes a stand against sexual assault and harassment.............. ............except when she makes films with Roman Polanski, the self-confessed and convicted child rapist. (Just saying like..........)

Thanks to Jimmy and Philpot for your efforts - the Hawk and the Airsporter will both be well used and well looked after ! Thanks also to everyone else who offered advice and suggestions with this project. It's amazing what we can do, as a 'community', when we all pull together ! (Just for the record, I also like Ford Rangers and Bollinger champagne...............)

It's got mounts Jimmy. It's the scope that came off my s200 - Hawke 3-9x40. Straight cross hairs, but it served me well.........until I upgraded. I've just checked, and I've definitely still got it..........so all sorted !

I checked again, and I stand corrected.............I had misunderstood the figures I looked at. 44% of our gas comes through European pipelines. Russia exports 35% of its gas production via European pipelines, though (obviously) not all of that comes to us. Glad that's cleared up.

It's hard to know what we CAN do, because Putin won't really care about what will actually be token gestures - embassy expulsions, asset freezing, diplomatic protests etc. He does what he likes, when he likes, often causing global chaos as he goes ! We can't really ban travel to and from Russia without seriously effecting legitimate business interests. UK isn't in a position to act in any kind of military manner, and Russia is a member of UN security council, with a veto vote, so that's that. And, when all's said and done, Putin has his hand on a large part of our gas supply !!
