  1. But it would be very easy to phone up and report all manner of bull5hit 'incidents', wouldn't it? Sorry - just thinking out loud.
  2. I see they going to build a new bridge in Scotland. Will it be the third over the Forth into Fife?

whatever brig they build will never be as iconic as the rail brig. the new bridge is called the queens ferry crossing.

  3. Yeah sure, silver spoon boy. We know Fortnum and Mason deliver to you twice weekly. Sainsbury's - keeps the riff-raff out of Waitrose !!
  4. My local gunshop owner's advice was that if you learn to shoot a springer, you won't go far wrong. He reckoned that learning the principles of recoil teaches you a lot about your rifle, making you more likely to shoot it well. I took his advice and so far so good ! I've also fired PCP's and , in my opinion, it didn't feel like I was shooting anything at all - no recoil, very little sound and so on. (Only my opinion, before anyone rags me !!) Any way, welcome mate, and I hope you get as much out of your time here as I have !!
  5. i once went to a lovely little place in Wales. LLanfairtryllewlleclan......sorry - I had a hair in my mouth. i went to Swansea! my bit of Welsh info... when I was a boy my Dad (god rest him) had some mates in a tiny village in the Rhondda. i don't remember the name, but i recall him being amazed that the road leading into the village reached the foot of a mountain and just stopped ! He said their hospitality was second to none, and he always looked forward to the trip. Just wish I could remember the name...some of you might know it.
  6. Just those three words- "female genital mutilation"- sent a shiver down me. It's beyond me how anyone could do this to their own child. This is so depraved that I can't even bring myself to add anything else....
  7. A couple of times, I've tried to mount 20 or 30cc engines on a pedal bike, but never got it to work properly. PLEASE try to post a vid, to show the finer points. At least give us some brief details here......
  8. When I found out you could become a sperm donor by post, I came in a jiffy!

  9. Can you imagine what "Countdown" must be like in Wales? "I'll have a consonant please. ......a second consonant.....Consonant.......Another consonant...er...consonant.........three consonants and an "e" please."
  10. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_Not hope this helps, mate.
  11. If they want it, let them try to take it ! The islanders have made their wishes clear time and time again.
  12. I'm always asking my wife for keyring sex,,,,but she just keeps fobbing me off !!

  13. i passed a car full of black guys, and they locked the door. I felt like a real badass, until I realised it was my car !

  15. I tried an angled handle, but it snapped - think the 'neck' was too thin. Lovely design, mate !!
  16. I genuinely admire your inventiveness, Blue ! But this is getting like an episode of Blue Peter........ If we gave you an old toothbrush, a cereal box, a yogurt pot and some sticky-back plastic could you knock something up ??? (Paracord optional!)
  17. The second design looks really smart and very 'pocketable' . I'm (still) making my own 'tiny catty', as I've some lovely woodland near me, but a bit of discretion would be needed . Keep up the good work, buddy !!
  18. Well done mate - you'd need a good few chips to go with that !
  19. True Tomo, but it's all about informed choices, isn't it ? The Irish author Edmund Burke put it best, I think - "Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little."
  20. He's such a t*t he doesn't even know where he lives - Mansfield is in Nottinghamshire, not Derbyshire !
  21. Wife had one a few years back. It loved her, but acted like a homicidal maniac towards me. Her nephew has him now and he is OK with his missus, but a total b*****d towards him, so no change. They mate for life, so bond closely to one person - if you take it on, be very careful - the bite pressure is frightening ! Best place for advice would probably be National Parrot Sanctuary in Friskney, Lincs. They'll also help with rehoming, if needs be. Good luck !
  22. Thanks Kay - my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be ( for reasons I'd rather not discuss ) I am referring, of course, to my age! (What did you think I meant?)
  23. Does some of the hard-earned money you spend end up in the pockets of assorted 'animal rights' groups and anti-hunting fanatics? We all know the anti-hunting credentials of the Co-op (I hope), but did you know they also own, among a plethora of holdings, Somerfield stores and the internet bank Smile.co.uk. Maybe you have a funeral plan with Co-op Funerals, or an account at Co-op Bank? Same company, and your money goes into the same pockets. Are you doing business with them unwittingly? Do you buy Christmas smellies for the wife from Lush cosmetics? Owner Mark Constantine donates to loads
