  1. Plenty of dog men (and ladies) on here.Put your questions in the right place, and you'll learn everything you need to know - and probably more besides! Welcome, mate
  2. When I was a boy of 9 or 10 we lived in Australia for a few years. When we moved from Melbourne to Perth we drove across the Nullabor Plain (in a Vauxhall Viva - straight up). For several days of the journey the temperature reached 45C (113F).It was like nothing you can imagine - absolutely oppressive - and you felt like you would die if you did anything silly like run or even move too quickly. Sometimes you could hardly breathe it was so hot! I saw on the news that Death Valley area is expected to reach 52C (over 120F), and I felt for the people who live there. We're not talking a bit o
  3. fook looking at prices its like Dales supermarket sweep when im shopping, run round chuck it in the trolley and get out, all in the shortest time possible Don't want to worry you, Paulus, but I think Dale just spotted you! dale.jpg i was going, wild in the aisles and then had to...............................check it out
  4. What do you say to a Paki with 2 black eyes? Nothing - you've already told him twice!!

  6. Was it the first time you've been shopping on your own, Paulus?? Is there usually someone who looks after you??
  7. You can't beat a cracking piece of crispy crackling - except after 6 pints, when you can't even say it, (or remember where you left your pig's heads!)
  8. The quote is by Groucho Marx, the comedian and actor, not Karl Marx, the political theorist, who didn't make comedy films as far as I know!
  9. Many Communist groups believe that MP's should only be paid the national average working wage(curently around £27,000), which would help ensure that the pocket-liners were deterred from entering politics. It would certainly attract a different calibre of candidate ! "Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies" (Marx - not Karl, Groucho!)
  10. Did you hear about the dyslexic pimp? He bought a warehouse!!

  11. It's time they lost their charity status!!
  12. We're all in something together......that's right "the 5hit"
  13. No problem, Luke ! Hope you get a lot from being on here
  14. the average MP`s salary is just over 66k, then the average expense bill on top of this is just over 133k so perhaps is higher than you thought !! I'd happily do it for 1/2 that!!
  15. hi,mate - A guy at my shooting club has such a thing for sale! s410,scope, bipod, camo-ed up, the lot. Sadly, I don't know his number, but if I see him at the weekend, I'll get it and PM it to you, along with more details. I think he's asking £340, but I'm nowhere near certain on that (and if you're interested, I could probably get him down a bit!) In short, if he's still got it, I'll get back to you - all the best in the meantime!
  16. Not surprised at all, Paulus, but I'm prepared to wager that they would rather we didn't know about this, let alone discuss it!
  17. Cameron says he will not be able to block a planned rise in MP's pay, after the next election. At a time when our incomes are being squeezed 'til they squeak, and millions face an uncertain future, our representatives are rubbing their hands at the prospect of lining their own pockets even further. A back-bench MP is currently paid around £66,000 per year (before expenses, obviously!), and this is expected to rise to over £70,000, and could rise by up to £10,000 ! The Prime Minister says such a situation is "unthinkable", but MP's have said they will block any move to prevent or restric

  19. Problem, Frann - legend has it that the British are famed for their tolerance. The difficulty, in my opinion, is getting enough tolerant people interested or angry enough to stop complaining about the minutaea of their lives and get off their ar5e5 and actually do something. I just dread to think what it will take to achieve this!
  20. Yeah I will wait and have a look at both of them. Dose the dive cylinder last long You will need to get it filled. How often depends on how regular you shoot. Have a read through the forums and make your own mind up. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/203932-buying-your-first-air-rifle/ http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/forum/98-rifle-reviews-technical-help-and-tips/ Always !! If you haven't already done it, get down to your local club - it's not about what you own or can afford -it's about the shooting. Take part, get involved and, above all else, enjoy yourself

Someone once told me that, at some point, they were the dog of choice for the French police. (The large ones, obviously, not the little ones that grow out of rich ladies armpits!)
  22. i got change from £200 for a Stoeger X20s, brand new, equipped with a scope and moderator as standard. A bit basic for some, maybe, but most of my club-mates are quite impressed with what you get for your money, even though many of them have much more expensive kit! You didn't say exactly which Gamo you have, but don't be too eager to give up on it ! You can learn a lot from becoming a good shot with a basic springer rifle. Good luck, mate and - most importantly - have fun!
  23. I want to be re-incarnated as a Paki girl - imagine how cool it is to have a moustache aged 5 !!

  24. It's been said that football is a gentlemen's game played by hooligans, whereas rugby is a hooligan's game played by gentlemen !
