    Stevie G

Undoubtedly one of the best English midfielders of his generation and should be lauded as such, but when you talk about his loyalty to his club, can't people remember how damn near close he was to signing for Chelsea all those years ago? To put it very mildly, it was only the 'strength of feeling' towards him and his family from certain extremely dedicated Liverpool fans that made him reconsider. For that one reason alone I couldn't put him in the same category as the likes of Carragher, Giggs, or someone like Le Tisseir when it comes to loyal servants to their club.
  2. Yeah, its f****d.. Me and the misses are on minimum wage jobs (or close too it, I run 2 cars and the kids have just had their most expensive ever Christmas.. Think I've seen the video you're on about Joe, its a few years old and is aimed at people with thousands and thousands of pounds tied up in investments and savings. Its been up here if its the one im thinking about. You want to stay away from those YouTube vids, you'll be holed up under your stairs with a tin foil hat on before long!

  5. Aussie Muslim leader on what to do with the body of Sydney hostage taker. I like his style! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2879222/Muslim-funeral-directors-say-not-accept-body-Siege-gunman-Man-Haron-Monis.html?ito=social-facebook
  6. Sod that, BURN any bedding and give the whole living area a good going over with some pesticide spray. Just make sure you get it into every join in any woodwork and leave the area free of ferrets for a few hours so the spray can evaporate. Rake done a cracking thread about ticks and their treatment, its pinned at the top of the section.
  7. I would rather the Jews than the Muslims .......My grandad who served in Palestine post WW2 probably wouldn't have agreed with you on that one Socks..
  8. Just goes to show how times have changed, my old man got done for it twice years ago. Once he was given a small fine for tresspassing on the railway and once he was dicharged when him and his mate got caught shooting starlings on some national trust land. In the second case, the magistrate said it wasnt serious because they were only shooting vermin.
  9. My Hilux invincible says mph on the clock when its actually doing 72 mph. Lots of manufactures make speedos read incorrectly to make their MPG figures look better, You may be going a lot slower than you think????The law states that a speedo mustn't under read so most manufacturers set them to slightly over read. Yours sounds way out though. Has it got different sized wheels on it to the ones it came out the factory with?
  10. Went on one myself a few months back. Was quite relaxed and a good thing for some folk there I reckon. Should have seen the looks of disaproval on some of the faces of the other folks there when I said I got caught doing 85 on the motorway. Silly b*****ds, me knowing exactly what speed I was doing at the time and paying attention to the road conditions and traffic around me was far less dangerous than them doing 35-40 in the 30mph zone most of them were caught in. That the whole thing was geared towards 30 and 40 zones should have emphasised that..
  11. 1 pint will put you slightly over the limit. This is being brought into line with other European countries where they dont use the pint as a measure. 1 pint = 0.568 litres. What's the bets the pubs will start serving 500ml (half litre) measures? Sounds like a sneaky way to attack the traditional British pint to me, as much as anything else..
  12. work? Mush only bought it so he can stick a saddle on it and ride it home from the tapas bar. He's too small to ride a donkey..
  13. Ps I much prefer the auto BMWs to the manual ones. I aint all that fond of autos as a general rule but the BMW ones are exceptional.
  14. We got those auris hybrids dotted about the fleet, the lexus ones work in kind of the same way just a lot faster! Theres absolutely no let up in acceleration and it dont get lairy when you're at high speed like the BMWs sometimes do. Was driving a merc E250 cdi earlier and all, that weren't bad either.
  15. Bmw same sort of price 05 5 series 530d its one or the other. And what ever is a t fizler the BMW 3.0 diesel is a f***ing beast of an engine. Not driven a lexus diesel but I have driven the new is200h hybrids. They go like hell, but for sheer driving experience and grunt I'd pick the 3.0 BMW diesel any day. The interiors of the lexus' I've driven have been majorly disappointing compared to the BMWs. On the flip side the lexus' won't break down as often.
  16. I started off with a 10 x 8 shed of my own, that did not last long. You have my sympathies TC I sympathise fellas, that picture I posted was of the inside of my new 14 x 7 shed. My old 8 x 12 one got swamped with garden machinery and junk..

  19. Good point that. Should have faded from view over the years and concentrated on giving his kids a normal upbringing after what happened to their mother. Bit hard to take lessons on morality from him.

    Depression

Great while you're on it because it causes a massive spike in serotonin production. Problem is it leaves you massively depleted of it for days afterwards.
