After ten ton of research (fecking easier choosing a car!) I have been dead keen on a Clearview BUT went to a showroon and got my head turned by a newcomer on the market called Clock... Very impressive stoves. So we'll see...

Nice gesture Arry, them Wenlocks are decent all rounders and will last years. Put up your location and i'm sure somone will come for it.
  3. Bloke came into work before Christmas had a couple of these. Lived in a council house. Was gushing over the breed, photo's and capabilities.... How they can kill a man easy, how no friends like to come to the house anymore, how the dogs have the furniture or pretty much whatever they want in the home. How delivery men have near met a canine death buy not reading signs and the binmen dont want to empty their bins anymore.... And all the time he was telling me these tales, all i kept thinking was what a complete bellend he was and totally the wrong person to own such dogs.
  4. Not that i know much about bedbugs or their eradication but a bloke in my village trains spaniels to search for bedbugs in hotels, guesthouses and the like. He makes a decent living from it apparently...
  5. Great stuff Ray. Glad you got Bryn out.
  6. When i was a kid i loved New Year. Where i lived everyone had their doors open and you could drop in to houses for a drink and stay all night. Or a party, there was loads going on. Then, around 11.45 everyone would leave and make their way out on the junction between two main roads (Priory and Breck), to celebrate and all would be hugs, kisses and wishes, something that had gone on for 100+ years. Then all back to party all night, the invites were none stop. I didn't get it back then, just thought it was loads of fun (as well as having my first propper snog!) and would be there forever BU
  7. Lee Francis named the charicter Keith Lemon after his mate from school also....!
  8. Read above Lozzer. Drabble thought he was doing the hunting world good by disclaiming certain terrier work, that was being sensationalised by the media at that time. At that time old 'real' countrymen belived in two things, that there was a bad element in the hunting world AND that once sorted out, hunting, as they knew it, would last forever... Please remember this was a very different world back then, sadly on the precipice of changing forever.... I believe he simply didn't realise the magnitude of his actions. He was from a different world and a different time.... In my
  9. Walsh, in his Poachers Companion book, which is a collection of poaching tales he has found in history, recounts on from the 18 hundreds (i think!), where a mastiff cross was being used (they needed size an speed, must have been bunny bashing!!!) As has been stated, they have been used almost forever BUT with reference to the bull blood from the 'US of A', I also think they were crossed with greyhounds almost as soon as they hit 'ol Blighty's shores. Though it would be a few years till real dogmen realised just what they could get from the cross and chose 'certain' stock to breed bot
  10. Fantastic footage. Thanks for putting that up Neil. ?
  11. Spot on Eddie. Unlike mixy it goes almost unnoticed. Knocked my specks into touch thats for sure and as you said, little sign (or chance i fear) of recovery. This one has done for the humble bunny...
  12. Got one of them thin roundmouth rabbiting jobs. They are handy enough (even as a walking stick!) and i'll stick to that if i can't find nowt else but was hoping someone does them in a two piece, all steel with slings. Seen a cracker the other week, lad had it for the terrier job and it had a smart screw fixing with a ball lock on the end. Only problem was he'd bought it on, so had no idea who made it...
  13. I did post this in the 'Hunting Equipment' section but have had no replies so thought i'd try here... I'm looking for a good quality two piece spade/shovel for ratting and ferreting. Looking for quality steel, robust and well made. If the pieces can be put on a sling to wear over my back, all the better. If there are any lads knocking them out to order please let me know. Cheers.
  14. Looking to purchase a good sturdy two piece spade/shovel for ratting and ferreting. Ideally one with attachments for slings to carry, as i'd rather not put it in a bag. If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated. Thanks
  15. In the words of an old friend of yours Phil, Mr E.G.Walsh.... "Puma make good knives" And like on many other things, he was dead right...
  16. His biggest and hardest fight will be himself. He's a big ball of blubber with legs like Kermit. He's a poor fitness trainer, lazy but has always made up for it with his age and skill set... Lot older now, seen those bright lights flashing and lovin the lemo and the good life. Makes ye wonder how much grub he's been shoveling to end up that size with a cocain habit eh....! For however long and shite it was for, he was once world champion, I recon he wont get near it again....
  17. DBP had a son eh... Kept that one out of his books.... As for the Patterdale... It's next seasons 'must have' dont ye know... Look fabulous head out the rear window of a new 4MATIC. Chocolate darling, must be chocky, all the best breeding darling. Black is just so common.
  18. No dog would think thats a rabbit...?? Depending on your lamp type and distance, depending on how old and expierienced your dog is, depending on how much you both have seen that night... I'd have a few more concernes than that... Any chance on location specifics to PREVENT injury..????
  19. Because, to be brutally honest, in comparison to the modern day working terrier, they would be shite..!! Ya pay's ya money, ya takes your choice...
