  1. Max, without wanting to turn this into another 'M' word thred. Both those dogs you mention do have a kind of 'look' and i seen Traveller a few times and his belly brother Obo many more. The rumour back then was that 'M' dogs had a splash of fell hound blood in em. Gave em that drop eared look and they did have a stamp back then, gave em that stamina too it was said. I dont believe coursing blood was ever mentioned but with Vic's breeding, who knows... ?
  2. Cheers mate, her dam was a saluki/bull/grey ?
  3. Hoping i might have a bunny or two in the bag, as a start, before seasons end...
  4. How they change as puppies in a few weeks... Mabel at 5 and now 11 weeks!
  5. Yer, he was older than first reported. Some of the Scouse FB pages have people on who grew up with him.
  6. Just to add, if you've never seen the film No Surrender starring Michael Angelis, give it a watch. Set in 80's Liverpool, funny as feck and he turns in another great performance. RIP
  7. Fancy one of them, anyone know how much on Preloved..? Nice to see someone trying to keep one fit...
  8. Bought a 95 in 177 as my first rifle for about 30 years. I love it..!!
  9. Used to go with a pro pester to the 'caking warehouses' over on Birkenhead docks about 30 years ago and caught a fair few with my dogs. Fecking agile things, run up anything.
  10. That 'pedigree' is for Andys dogs and what they are bred from. It is NOT a record of Minshaw dogs but it names a few that Vic owned and Andy had lines to. Many good (dare i say famous) dogs are missing.
  11. I honestly think Vic Minshaw is the best salesman the lurcher world has ever known. He's far surpassed David Hancock, Len French, Jeff Burrell and even Brian Plummer. Hancock needed Plummer and a few books, Len French toured every show in summer for years to peddle his wares. Poor old Jeff has to talk peoples ears off to sell pups and even then we don't know what the feck a Tumbler really is! DBP had to first sell books to sell lurchers and then ran off to Scotland, handing the programme to his mate Dave. Now crafty Vic has us still talking, questioning and wanting his dogs long afte
  12. I thought it SF's best by a mile...
  13. Those tapered ones are all you'll ever need. Still more than strong enough for the biggest of bull lurchers but fine enough for all types of lurchers to graft in. ?
  14. Cheers BM and yep, thats the plan... ?
  15. She's out of Scouser to a saluki bull grey TC ?
  16. Cheers Juckler, she is out of Scouser but she's not quite all coursing dog... ?
  17. Had a few lurchers with them on and never had any bother at all but seen a few that had constant issues. If they can be taken off properly, then all the better. Removes the chance of them being a problem.
  18. My Mrs don't/won't watch anything like that, which is a bit of a shame for me but on the plus side she'll turn over to watch ANY footy on the telly... She's a keeper..! ?
  19. Both my type of watch mate. Thought Taboo was a great. Far better than that Gangs of London shite my Mrs put me through the other week... ?
