  1. A well placed Fenn never sleeps...
  2. I'm a royalist, its that simple BUT i'll call a spade a spade... Andrew is a nonce. Edward and his Mrs are drips, Megan is poison and Harry, dispite his service, is a gullible fool.... All that said, the Queen and Phil are/were amazing, their duty was unfaultered. Charles is a good man, as Anne is as tough as British oak. William & Kate have got one hell of a task ahed. I only wish them every success...
  3. CHRISTMAS CHRONICALS... Never watched it before. Sheer brilliance from Kurt Russell, who for me, is one of the greatest actors of his generation... Proove me wrong..! My new, fave, Christmas film... Nuff said, Merry Christmas...! ??
  4. As it should be... Stay safe Phil... ??
  5. Spot on Ray but it seems nobody on here can point my in the right direction... ?
  6. Anything with Fairbrass, or any of those other fecking helmets that make them cheap 'cockney gangster' films is an instant switch off for me.... How the feck any of you lot can sit through that shite is beyond me..!
  7. Which is what i replaced my old outside bog for and yep, it was f***ing freezing in winter...
  8. I know how good a whippet can be Moocher, what i/we are looking for is a hard blood track bred animal, rather than a KC show one.
  9. Cheers for the shout mate but its gotta be 6/8/10 weeks old puppy. And though i'm not well up on my Whippets, i know of a few KC ones and they'd shit themselves if they'd see a rubber rat, never mind a real one...
  10. My mate who i do a bit of ratting with is looking for a Whippet or Whippety Lurcher pup. Idealy he's looking for a small, fast dog that is tough enough to rat alongside terriers, ferret and lamp with. A full whippet would be great but one with plenty of poke and will get stuck in to the rough and tumble of ditch side ratting days on freezing open land. There's no rush but if anyone can point him in the right direction that would be welcome. Thanks.
  11. Lovely part of the world. Enjoy your cider... ?
  12. If the surrounding land looks anything like it does in the film, it looks a beautiful part of the world. Deffo gonna visit asap...
  13. Can only agree, Bill is a superb writer and very under rated. Old Phil's books and writings are, and have always been, on the money. Didricksons books are also good. I still love the classics though, EG Walsh, Simpson, Drabble and dare i say it, early Plummer books are a bloody good read too..! Oh and theres that book by Fairclough about lurchers i quite like, can't think why though... ? ?
  14. Ronda - She'll find (and kill) me just about anything i want her too, fur or feather. ?
  15. Seen a similar article on the demise of the weasel, as it's numbers have reduced by 50% over the past 10 years. Such a reduction can almost only be because of the reduced rabbit numbers caused by RVHD2, though the article was trying to blame habitat loss, trapping & poison. All play their part, but rabbit numbers are key imo... I can only hope, in my lifetime, they start making a comeback. I miss those crazy nights with big bunny numbers...
  16. Not a film but a BBC series (now on iplayer) Outlaws I watched it for the sole reason that Christopher Walken is in it, as he is probably my favorite actor alive today. Set in Bristol, it's quirky and funny but has a gritty dark side. I really enjoyed it. 7.5/10
  17. Scouser, the coursing dog, was well over 10 years, when he lined the bitch to produce my dog. His owner said it'd probably be his last full lining, as he just wasn't interested any more. Not sure if he ever did manage to give it another 'go'. As long as the dog is both worthy and capable it really shouldn't matter how old they are...
  18. No mate, never been but love anything like that, so if i get the opportunity i'd jump at it. I find stuff like that facinating. The film shows the estate and surrounding areas to be a beautiful part of the country too.
  19. The Dig Film - Netflix A charming, beautifully filmed and interesting story of the dig at Sutton Hoo just before the start of WW2. A fantastic all British cast, with Ralph Fiennes as Basil Brown, the 'excavator' and finder of the horde. His understated acting in this role is superbe. I'm sure most will find it pretty boring but i really enjoyed it. 8/10
  20. I believe thats the right way to go Dan, support your local hunt, both attend and contribute. It's just about all that can be done at our level. Main stream and social media are really forcing their will now, there is a sweeping tide of anti hunting retoric out there right now and plenty of the flack comes, as Eastcoast just said, from 'fieldsports' own ranks....
