    Pet hates.

White trabs can be ok with shorts in summer, provided the shoe is a classic (Adidas) ya ain't got some 'cnuty' sock hanging out the top of em ? I'd add that some of the newer style platform fashion trabs look pure shite on anyone, old or fecking young..!! ?
  2. Well done to anyone who takes the plunge in later life. Swimming is so important, and it covers many different fields, sport, recreation/leisure and as DC just said, a life skill....

I'm with you on the 'tip workers', miserable cnuts the lot of em... Lads who keep coursing dogs and say 'boy or boys' for every other word. People who can't say the word 'specific' saying Pacific every time... More to come... ?
  4. Brilliant mate, great start. Handsome hound that..! Ya just gotta keep it going now ?
  5. Think it might be a bit 'cheffy' to go pink with pork... I'm not convinced and though I don't want it like boot leather, i'd rather see it cooked through
  6. Aldi neoprene wellies have been a revelation for me... £19.99, comfy, warm and really tough. Got 18 months out of the last pair and that was almost daily use, with ratting tips and bramble most weekends. And when they go it's no issue at that price. No point being a welly snob in this game. ?
  7. It's like no other dog past or present has ever killed a hare... ?
  8. I'm sure there's a couple of lads from New Jersey running lurchers. I think they are in the Fairclough lurcher book...
  9. Love ratting rivers, ditches and streams. We always use a landing net (though they don't last long) and a powerful torch comes in handy to guide the dogs to swimming rats. ?
  10. The Light Between Oceans Beautifully filmed, interesting story. Fassbender plays 'deep' so well.... Vicander is both beautiful and charming... 7.5/10
  11. Now that all my Dads mates are dead, mine just go for dog food. Though rabbits are becoming so rare round here I'm thinking of getting the ones I catch stuffed and mounted.
  12. I remember those days and men the very same... If you look at the years between the late 80's and now, and then the horrors of WW2 and the late 80's, you can really understand those feelings ?
  13. Sadly, I don't think this thread will get back on track... Damn shame. If any others in the Lurcher section get interupted, I'll pull more and those being disruptive... ?
  14. Phil's dead right, the topic is about Smithfield Lurchers, stick with that please... Reading back its pathetic...
  15. Wouldn't have said there was any collie in it but...
  16. We were ratting some big dairy farms in Cheshire a couple of weeks back and we're asked to check out another farm that afternoon. The farmer had a 'sort of' big range black and tan Kelpie in the back of his truck. I've seen a few Kelpies but this was a bit different... I really wanted to get a closer look at this dog, which was raising he'll if anyone got within 10 foot of the vehicle. It paced round like a wolf in a zoo and on approach slunk back, only to burst forward hitting the wire hard, all teeth and saliva. I decided to keep things as professional as I could and got on with th
  17. Thanks Phil, always loved that pic ???
