  1. . Google. Freshfield animal rescue center arsonist Mr callender I have mate, our friend Ste put me onto him and them many years ago..
  2. Feck me... I don't care if Gaz wants to kill all feckin veggies, vegans or Venetians, thats his fecking problem..! The point of this thred is about an attack, an attack on our own, our own hunting community... Get back to the thred, get back to what is really important, this is the level that those who wish to stop us will stoop to, killing pets and vandalism in the name of saving animals, how would any of you feel coming home to that! We all might not think the same in such a scattered world of hunting but the 'big statics' our British hunts, are under attack, weekly! Most of us are just m
  3. I was hoping a pic of Pepper would come up, 'the' best bitch I've seen run for a good few years, her owner is a lucky bloke indeed.... she wheatenX Bosun? No mate, she's simply a little drop of a few breeds to give her height, power, brains, courage and a little something that I can't put my finger on, because she's the most agile 'bigger' mutt i've seen run. No Wheaten in there. She makes me wince almost every night out, with her almost suicidal tendencies but always 'brings home the bacon'. On her best form she really is top notch. I know whats in her, as does her owner Tim but I'd bet

  6. Like that look in her eye in that last pic, the kinda look that says "Lets go..!!"
  7. Is counting not your strong point mate lol No mate, reading ain't, I glanced at the title an read it as 'Fav'..... It's edited now....
  8. Last Of the Mohicans A River Runs Through It Brotherhood Of the Wolf Rio Bravo Cool Hand Luke (And as been said, I think Lawless is a modern cracker but that'd make six so it ain't in!!)
  9. Good stuff mate. Hand signals are something lurcher folk don't seem to use enough and are a must in my book, even though I'd say I'm 'limited' with what I can teach, I still couldn't do without 'em.
  10. Raquel Welsh I posted on earlier in the thred... Simply stunning, always been my fav. Good shout on Jaclyn Smith, her an Catherine Bach A Catherine...
  11. Crackin pics as usual Fuji, how well are those pups lookin... As you probably know better than me mate, some farmers, especially the old boys, just have a inbred dislike/distrust to Lurchers, regardless of lambs, stock etc, even arable farmers, even when dogs are tethered and where they should be.. Its just the way it is... Though I have found that if you can catch the same farmer out again, without the dogs an have a good 'ol natter, it does make 'em think twice about the bloke that owns 'em. Anyways, have you shaved that feckin Pom down for the hound trailing this summer.
  12. Looking to take something out of my lad in around 2 years time mate (if he is still alive! lol) and want to keep it "typey".......theres a couple of us doing our homework now to find the right thing In my head I would be looking to produce a couple of 26inch type mutts in a litter, with dogs bigger if possible.....solid, well built but quick. Maybe we are being too fussy !! lol lol Shame you cant wait mate, as they would have to be farmed out to decent lads FOC to see what they are made of mmm4.jpg My lad above is 27+ and I would very much like to find something similar to him
  13. Just awaiting season 2 in the post, should have been here today... Bugger..!! Me & the Mrs very much hooked, great series.
  14. Good post Wilf, as you know, i'm looking for a pup out of such a bitch (and dog) right now, these good strong bitches ain't as common as you'd think. In the working terrier world these types are more common, 'doggy bitches' the old boys used to call 'em and good ones were well worth breeding from.
  15. A great sportsman and a very nice fella, what his sexuality is matters not a jot...
  16. Must take after his mum Deffo...!! Well done to him, I hope it's the start of great things...
  17. What an informative little clip there, I hope this gets looked at by many. Simple easy stuff that can really help. Great find Mickey... I'd agree with the mat too Sirius but lets not split hairs, I thought that dog was very 'well balanced' considering.
  18. Vin's spot on with his advice, run it on it's own for a bit, get the 'feel' of each other, develop a bond and when you do return to running in company, single slips with each dog tethered..!!
  19. Chris, with 'most' lamps you'll find that they need a bit of work to make them robust enough for the long dark nights, most lampers make modifications to get 'em right. You can get switches from Maplins that would be just as good, if not better. they ain't hard to put on either. If not, and you want to put the manufactures switch on, try ordering 'on line' or try the Rainford gun shop, or McAvoy's gun shop Standish, they are local and 'may' be able to source the parts for you.
  20. Great numbers lads, scores like that keep the cold out..!
  21. Unfortunately, due to a waterlogged field the Fair and Show is cancelled until May. I will post details as they come up. Thanks Bosun
  22. That's a handy lookin critter Malc.... I always liked that one in the Hancock book, the one he bred out his guard dog an his Gamekeeper brother-in-law owned.
  23. The Merseyside Working Terrier & Lurcher Club WILL NOT be organising the lurcher & terrier show at Southport this year! The club apologises for any inconvenience caused.
