    From the little i know, scent is a maze of variables, we still know very little. I'd have always thought food would have never made a difference before i read this thred, i would have never have linked them but i have an open mind and would always bow to expierience.

    Loved it from day one but have to rely on someone copying it to disc for us and this season i'm now four episodes behind... bugger!

    I don't know how to go about putting a spell check on my phone and write any long posts with the good old Oxford English close to hand... (Though its not close to hand as i write this and i cant spell dictionary!)

    Any let down like this is a sickener but for what it's worth i wouldn't hold out looking for any lurcher of any particular cross ever again. I'd much rather source from dogs that i know are doing the job i require, rather than on 'the right cross'. With going about it that way you will either know or get to know the dogs behind your pup, aswell as the owner and that, in this puppy saturated world might make all the difference. Better luck next time.

    I don't believe, i have no direct reason to believe but a good friend of mine once seen something he's never been able to explain... Ste is, in my and other opinion, a bit of a hunting legend in this city. Older than me, he has done and seen the lot, with a few tales that really should go down in print. Now a brook runs near to my village down to the river Alt. It runs alongside a very old pub, which stands next to the oldest used building in the north west, Sefton Church, built by the Molyneux's, the Earls of Sefton.     Never forget, Hinks was a dandy, he bred his Bull Terrier for the bench and the coin, that is fact. Those new breed battles told in the history books hold little ground.     Damn shame, i know of the dog through posts on here and know that he was very good dog. He was owned by a very good Lurcherman who made that dog what it was and to echo Darbo, i know he will be missed. Sorry to hear that Jim.

    When i was younger, reading Plummer books, the hunting i knew and did was very different than what i was reading but that knowlage never stopped me enjoying the books. I had Lloydy in the Shooting News to say it like it was.
