  1. Call them patterdales or whatever tickles your fancy. I call them blackdogs.
  2. A repellent such as creosote ? Never used a repellent before myself but I've heard it's a good way to shift them from deep holes to the diggable better suited holes for the next days venture if used a few days prior. I personnally wouldn't fill burrows that are undiggable in or block them because they are what we call "feeder holes" self explainatory really. Just walk on by James, plenty off other places to be dropping dogs rather than railway banks.
  3. Into the back end there doesn't like the teeth, no good. Lol
  4. Any word on the bitch Brian, is she still missing?
  5. Is that a rhetorical question BigG ? Lets face it, if somebody was unfortunate enough to be pulled by the law out doing a days work with the dogs or even had a visit and there was that type off animal present with fresh signs off work, there would be alot off questions asked and likely repercussions. Whatever the case may be innocent or not it doesn't paint a great picture to the type off authorities that are out solely to stop hunting and anything related to it, I'd imagine the same people (whether police or RSPCA/Uspca) would take a hard-on at such a scenario. It may have something to do wit
  6. L330 it's not just the stereo type off working dogs that could be questioned. Food for thought.

  8. Not necessarily, especially this time off the year most holes are stinking with fox because they're pairing up. Though there isn't a fox in the majority off them, most foxes I've dug the holes actually didn't stink off fox. Obviously the terrier can smell them though.
  9. Not so brilliant if the dog chews and eats the barrel.
  10. Why don't you guys join up and be chairmen of the fed?
  11. My mate in school hunted with his dad and they brought me along one day, got a pup the next wkend and have always had dogs since.
  12. Havnt seen a good looking bird on it yet.
  13. We checked a hell of alot off holes today from 6am until shortly after 4pm. Alot of them were stinking off fox but nobody at home. So I wouldn't rule out them pairing up. We dug 3 terriers out of the 4 that we had with us, so all in all a successful day. Out in the morning again especially with that heavy rain and wind, so fingers crossed.
  14. Errrr yeah what ever you say, lol Will I don't let them go. Lol
  15. Dug 1 on New Year's Day in the land next to the local shop, same as every other fox I dig, dead.
  16. Dunlop purofort steel toecap. Cost around £20 comfortable, good solid sole will last a lot longer than the big names that r pure shite. Tried the muck boots utter pish, comfortable but don't last a Craic. Don't see too many farmers wearing muck boots ! Food for thought.
