    I'd be glad to run 30 in a night never mind catch the feckers, it would be interesting to see how my dog coped with plenty to go at. The most he's had is ten and a couple of redlegs.

    It could have been a dead fish that someone scooped out, can't really see anyone with the tackle to land one wanting to kill it really. There's a few big dead ones come up now and again. Gords not bad at fishing but his lads better when i've seen them out. He's a bugger for scrounging rabbits off us too Which commercial fishery do you mean John? Leisure Lakes?

    My russel will retrieve most things thrown for him but there's no way he'd retrieve game unharmed. I've had a live to hand partridge off him but I think it was a one off.

    Get him out and try him, you might just have to crack down on the cat breaking a bit more. My russel was killing rats before 5 months and he really really loves cats

    The modern bedlington was created for showing. Years ago they were bred for general vermin control I reckon like most other terriers wether it was above or below ground. Any terrier breed thats had miniature poodle added to it is pretty much fecked imo.

    As soon as you've done your cycling proficiency mate, watch the dogs toes with your stabilisers if you still have them on though My lurcher and my terrier will both run along side the bike ok but when a moggy runs across it gets a bit tricky. I don't run them both at the same time because of the height and stride difference but i'm thinking of giving it a go. Anyone trot a terrier and lurcher at the same time and does the terrier struggle from running too fast or the lurcher from going slowly?

    Why a Beddy though? I can't see the attraction of a bushing dog that the mud, snow brambles and bushes etc stick to like shit to the sheets or velcro?

    Try a border or a lucas. The lucas would be the better option if your wanting it to retrieve from what i've seen about them.

    Did he say how long he'll be layed up for? When i got the end of my dogs tail off I was gonna get his claws off at the same time but the vet reckoned he'd be off for 6 weeks with it, they aren't too bad but he's smashed them a few times in the past so its one i'd consider in future.

You'll probably be able to find a cheaper one somewhere online.

    This is mine when he's about right, he's always in good nick but if I get him really lean and muscles on show he runs like a bag of shit so I keep some weight on him.

    Would you match your two against a terrier(nearly 2) and a lurcher(22" nearly 3)? If not I can just bring the terrier. Dug, smokered or ferreted? The covers too high on my permission atm though.

    I've been out bushing when one of these tagged along and she seemed a pleasant enough bitch but the bloke has a few at the back of his property and there's no way on earth i'd even dream of going through the gate
