  1. brilliant again thanks do they bite deep To the bone in the right place, your pup will normally swell up after his first bites don't shit yourself just wash it and it'll go down soon enough and he'll build up an immunity to the germs in their bite.
  2. you wanna try leaving a few scrapes on your plate mate Are times that hard round your way you old git???
  3. I've had mine seperated for a while into 3 pairs of hob and jill but just bunged them all into my old 6ft 2 tier cage yesterday so they can keep themselves warmer. The eldest jill was ragging one of her sons round for a bit but their fine now. Two of the hobs are tiny and ones big so its a good job he's not got his balls out or the littleuns would be sore.
  4. When its proper cold mine get a block of mince part boiled with my little girls leftovers from breakfast dinner and tea all mixed in with a bit of gravy granules too, bulked up with a bit of complete. The lurcher starts howling the minute he hears the mince pan
  5. I think in one of his books she was a 3/4 bull grey, in other books his line is all collie greyhound and he knocks bull crosses???
  6. Nice little pup mate, what lines is it?
  7. Its good to get out no matter how many you catch and it sounds like you's had fun. I got 5 with mine on saturday and missed about 30, I knew I should have took the lurcher but its ok because their dead this weekend
  8. I've not bolted one but last year my old hob kept going to one spot in a burrow my lurcher was marking keenly so after a while I decided to break through and caught a whiff of fox. My missus brought the terrier for me and the rest as they say is history . I can read the lurcher now when he's marking fox so the ferrets won't be going in with one again. Bolted a few stoats in the past, shellducks, rats and one cat who decided not to bolt but met its match in stumpy the three legged hob
  9. Is it this unmarked dog thats up in all the pet shops round the area at stud or a pup out of it http://www.pets4homes.co.uk/pets4homes/home.nsf/LookupUNID/D487A6E8DA2B251D802577E4004F3F57
  10. Might be alright for a bit of ratting
  11. Maybe so but some of the lads on these sites will be shelling out a lot of cash on all the different dogs that pass through their kennels
  12. Sounds like the brook out the back of the old egg farm? Good on the pup anyway, keep at the scaley tailed feckers
  13. Good grub, plenty of mooching about, lamping and lead walking in an area full of cats does the job for mine
  14. Probably because there's numpties that bump a thread from years ago asking if the pups are still for sale etc.
  15. Out of interest mate why are you wanting to add bull or cross at all when it sounds like your non ped is doing fine for what you want?
  16. Probably but why would you want to starve your stock when you can just get kits from a smaller strain? Starving them as kits might reduce the size but it can't be good for them in the long run.
  17. My dog and Chid off here's dog Alfie have got the same dam mate. First pics the mother My dog
  18. Shut it you twat read the post the fox was shot always one! Thats rich coming from a cock head who let a pregnant pet russell catch a hare then stuck the pics on the forum for all to see.
  19. you right there pal ,that statue of a lurcher chasing a boar round my end has gone I bet it looks good on your patio mate, did you chuck it on the roof of the van like that tree I dug for you
  20. Bad idea. High risk of arthritis from working all day in a damp environment Aye and don't forget the smell, not everybody takes a perfectly healthy pussy to the vets
  21. They must be well anchored down or they'd have been weighed in by now
  22. I gave it a go on sunday and couldn't get the swing right to pop em out so I did it another way I saw on the forums a while back where you just keep squeezing the guts towards it arse, they flew out round its thigh somewhere but job done, not the quickest way but was quite mess free and it will come in handy one of the many times you forget the knife.
