I've never really been knocked back by famers or landowners for permission, only when there's someone else already got it and thats with dogs, ferrets or guns. Never really bothered with the general public either as most of my places are out of the way and most bunny huggers are little nerds who would probably avoid a confrontation with me out in the woods

It sounds like its the mk3m, the M stands for magnetic I think as theres a magnetic switch inside the collar which is turned on and off using a little magnet thing or the thinner end of the receiver swiped across it. Sounds like your battery has run out in the collar if you didn't know it could be turned on and off mate.

It has to be pretty bad for a ferret to turn its nose up at it. Fly eggs won't hatch in its stomach acid. I've got 3 pairs of ferrets in seperate cages so while its warm if their getting meat I split it so they get just enough each but in winter I chuck them a full rabbit or pheasant etc in and they will eat it before it goes bad. I've fed mine more biscuits than anything though this summer to minimise the flies.

Bloody dogs laid up after ripping a nail off so it's another night in with IT for me , might watch a couple of lamping dvds to get my fix. Its not all doom and gloom though coz i'm out ferreting tomorrow, apparently its all open warrens in sand and its alive with rabbits

Take him out alongside a bike, tires mine out ok along with bushing and playing ball on the field. Them tennis ball throwing sticks work well too.

I had to get my lurcher done last year because he kept splitting it, the vet wanted to take the lot off but I made them take as little as possible off. It was a complete nightmare with him eating the dressings and licking the wound preventing it from healing but i'm glad I had it done now. Docking an adult dog by yourself by whatever means is out of order, who gives a shit how it looks if it works it works, if it damages its tail during that work then get a vet to do it under an anaesthetic with proper aftercare.

:yes: Had one come up behind us in the dark to easily within ten foot and fuuckin scare the shit out me, another member off here and two dogs by screaming at us :laugh: I'm not surprised it screamed when it saw this

Aye nip it in the bud by seperating them. You can do whatever you want to stop them fighting when your around and they will probably get on ok but your gonna have to go to work/sleep/shops or something at some point and when you get back it could be too late.

Why not just seperate them? If you leave them to it as someones advised are you prepared to come home to a dead dog? My two get on fine when were out but there's no way i'd kennel them together.

Have you tried one personally? Its not an electric shock like touching a live wire its like the static off a tv or something.

My dog will jump wire fences cleanly, into artic trailers and even over pheasant pen sections but will not jump a 5 bar gate its embarrasing leaving him sat there whining trying to get through it so I end up lifting him over

If thats virkon s mate you'd better not let it touch any of the metal on your kennel or it rusts it to f**k Mine are in wooden pens with the mesh off the floor so they should be ok.

I just got given one of them big tubs of virkon that are about £100 so thats what i'm using for now When thats run out i'll be back to jeyes.

Feck me your all writing him off as a smack head, coke isn't the one sniff and your hooked drug that some of you's seem to think it is and what difference does it make to his lad, if he wasn't doing it infront of kids and he's not killing himself or beating old women up to get the cash to buy it then whats the problem really when there are millions of people getting up to the same or worse every weekend in this country?

I think he was about 21", i've seen a 23" whippet and Jake didn't seem that big, he was a powerful dog though.
