Waxed paper here too, cheap as chips and the dogs like it. Not as much mess as shavings either. I used carpet one time and one of the dogs got friction burns from trying to scratch it up comfier.
I'm not sure its the bite back tbh, wolves kill foxes don't they as they see them as competition? Perhaps its something along those lines?
My dog got bit by a rabbit but he doesn't hate them
I had a castrated hob who mated or at least tried to mate jills, I think it was stabs who had a castrated dog which still tied with his bitch when she was in season too.
I've always found it helps if the dog has marked and your young ferrets encounter a bunny every time they go out , small burrows preferably. Same as easy rabbits give pups a confidence boost.
Keep doing what your doing mate but I'd leave the pork out, can't remember the exact reason why but I know its not recommended to feed it the stinkers.
Well done mate, you should have plenty to work with next year. I'm gonna have to get a pair of polls for next season. Do you still want a linnet mule?
I've just wire brushed and painted one of these cages, what a ball ache, only 15 more to go
Just been given a load of all wire breeders for next year so now I've got the fun job of wire brushing them all down and painting them black, I'll try and get some pics on when their up and running. I'm hoping to use plastic fascia board for trays underneath and will hopefully be pretty much mite proof and easy to spray off should I get any of the little sods.
My pup just had her first season and I kept her away from my others for 4 weeks to be on the safe side. Mate of mine had a greyhound bitch that was tested by the vet daily to see when she was ready to mate and it was the 22nd day.
The ferrets that have been riddled with fleas and ticks have probably bumped into a hedgehog down a hole, I reckon rabbit fleas are different and don't live on ferrets (or dogs) but I could be wrong.
If your gonna frontline them every time they eat a fresh rabbit do you do them every time they've been out working? Can't say I've ever noticed them transferring over to the ferrets for long?
I'm not sure what model it is tbh it just said daiwa on it but its got a nice soft tip and action. Getting the remaining laquer off would be a nightmare I'd imagine, I suppose I could leave it in the sun the other side up for a decade its worked on the top
Nowt its like daylight here, no wind and no crops down. Just had my pup out with the bike for the first time and she dragged me and the other dog for a few mile and is still raring to go the mad fecker
