    Brilliant post and fair play to you.     Same mate. Old man Venn who had the land/allotment at the side of the lake Southmead end didnt even own it just moved onto it and claimed it as his own. And there is a lane runs all along the back that belongs to the lake that the residents have taken over squatting rights of. Fishing is banned now so they swim the whole of the lake they even turned the willow swim into a beach and were having a jacuzzi installed. Lovely place, if you get the chance buy the book on the history some brilliant ariel pictures pre war of the area and Johnny Weissmuller did a diving exhibition down there in the 40's thousands turned up to watch it!     I'm indifferent to it all but understand the revenue having a royal family and all the pomp and ceremony that come with it generates for the UK. What I do know is if we didnt have a royal family the country would still be in the state is is, I would be no better off and 14.4 million (allegedly) people would still be living in poverty (allegedly), we would also be losing a massive part of our history which seems to be the goal for some.

    Go on then I will answer you..................I'm such a small cog in the wheel personally I will never know If it has had a positive or negative effect on me as a individual things changed in my life before Brexit and will continue to do so after.     I have a question if I may and hope it doesn't render me stupid asking it ? I noticed in the article you posted it states that anyone protesting outside of the hotels is far right ("encircle Best Western" were the exact words which were extremely emotive by the way) do you agree with that and anyone who does anything to express there concerns lawfully against this issue is "Far Right" ? A simple yes or no will suffice.

    A bit of research and you can see they hire out coaches to attend these counter protests. I've never been in the union but if I was and found out my subs were paying for this I wouldn't be happy.

    Interesting Ive done a google search but cant find anything do you have a link ? I don't need to tell you that stream is rancid now all the way down to the river and has been for 40 years.     Yep correct but they would still have a discharge consent if pumping direct into sewer or it may be tankered either way my point was it ends up at the treatment plant. Not all wastes are pre-treated some go in raw also, my point was the more waste going into the plant the bigger the strain on the plant to treat it. Thats the issue if the water company cant take it because they are at the limit imposed by the EA for discharge, where does it go?     Im a fanatical fisherman but as some one who works in the liquid waste sector, I will just come at this from a different angle. I’m not looking for argument or condoning the water companies I think It’s a travesty what is happening to our rivers and streams but waste water treatment plants don’t just treat the sewage we create, they treat the storm water and have to by law treat Leachates from landfill sites, washing from abattoirs, liquid wates from food processing factories, brewery wastes, the packaging your food comes in, even bait making, the list is endless.
