  1. Go on then I will answer you..................I'm such a small cog in the wheel personally I will never know If it has had a positive or negative effect on me as a individual things changed in my life before Brexit and will continue to do so after. I had a large pay increase last year could I attribute that to Brexit, I doubt it but who knows? What I do know is Brexit or not I make my own luck, but for me voting Brexit was about regaining our sovereignty. I don’t really care if Brexit made any difference to that or not what I do know is I did what I could as that small cog to make that h
  2. 3. I see the problem as the left see no middle ground with this, its their way and that's it. All this does is push the centrist over to the right way of thinking and the right far right. Sandymere is a perfect example, will not debate as anyone who does not agree is stupid and right wing. All very sad as they are part of the problem and fail to see it, pure arrogance and a recipe for disaster.
  4. I have a question if I may and hope it doesn't render me stupid asking it ? I noticed in the article you posted it states that anyone protesting outside of the hotels is far right ("encircle Best Western" were the exact words which were extremely emotive by the way) do you agree with that and anyone who does anything to express there concerns lawfully against this issue is "Far Right" ? A simple yes or no will suffice.
  5. A bit of research and you can see they hire out coaches to attend these counter protests. I've never been in the union but if I was and found out my subs were paying for this I wouldn't be happy.
  6. Its from the UAF website mate I was just very surprised no one has picked up on this previously Ive noticed it on a number of recent videos on youtube which is why I questioned it. Its on wiki as well Unite Against Fascism - Wikipedia in the History section as well
  7. Interesting Ive done a google search but cant find anything do you have a link ? Most large sewage treatment plants work on biological treatment using activated sludge smaller ones do use filtration but this is usually stone. Plastic is sometimes used as a medium but considering the amounts of micro plastics in everyday wash water saying its a issue sewage treatment plants creates is strange and not sure how they can differentiate. Some of the independent businesses who do on site treatment with a de-watering plant use a polymer this will collect micro plastic but that then creates
  8. Unite Against Fascism is an anti-fascist pressure group in the United Kingdom. UAF was established in 2003 following the electoral successes of the British National Party, beginning as a coalition that included the Anti-Nazi League, the National Assembly Against Racism, the Trades Union Congress, Unite – the Union, and UNISON. UAF aims to raise awareness nationally of the potential affects to the UK and British society if fascist and far right groups (including the British National Party and the English Defence League), gain seats in local, national and European elections.
  9. Seriously breaks my heart mate. I expect like me you can remember catching minnows in the stream at the back of Baddocks woods when you were a kid? I don't need to tell you that stream is rancid now all the way down to the river and has been for 40 years. Sad fact is we have outgrown this island we live on and not just in population but also our wastage. I bet there are not many on here that could say something as simple as they have never tipped their out of date milk down the drain. Sewage is reasonably easy to treat its the rest of the crap we produce that's not.
  10. Watching news reports and you tube videos I have noticed Unite and Unison seem to be funding these pro-immigration marches even busing Antifa in for them. Just wondering how many staunch union members feel about that and if they are happy with their subs going on something they may not agree with ? Is the union actually for the working man any more ?
  11. Yep correct but they would still have a discharge consent if pumping direct into sewer or it may be tankered either way my point was it ends up at the treatment plant. Not all wastes are pre-treated some go in raw also, my point was the more waste going into the plant the bigger the strain on the plant to treat it. Thats the issue if the water company cant take it because they are at the limit imposed by the EA for discharge, where does it go? We are not just talking sewage here a large percentage of what is treated at sewage plants are commercial/trade wastes. If they stopped
  12. Im a fanatical fisherman but as some one who works in the liquid waste sector, I will just come at this from a different angle. I’m not looking for argument or condoning the water companies I think It’s a travesty what is happening to our rivers and streams but waste water treatment plants don’t just treat the sewage we create, they treat the storm water and have to by law treat Leachates from landfill sites, washing from abattoirs, liquid wates from food processing factories, brewery wastes, the packaging your food comes in, even bait making, the list is endless. As consumers we for
  13. Spot on, this is a bit of correspondence I sent to the local councillor when he back handily accused me of inciting racial hatred in the local news letter and would not speak to me face to face other than his council meeting surrounded by his cronies. "There is no need for you to respond as I previously mentioned there is little point but I am however prepared to meet you at the town centre and we can walk the high street asking the people sleeping in the doorways if they have been given the offer of free board, 3 meals a day and immediate health and dental checks ? Perhaps you can expl
  14. I don’t know I’m not bothered about being labelled a racist but I am about the impact it would and does have on my family and I would say that makes me sensible rather than a coward. The way I see it is I didn’t let my kids go to the mosque because of the teachings of Islam, I spoke to the school because my kids couldn’t understand the Pakistani teacher and I have voiced concerns about the asylum seekers being housed in the hotel because I would have had the same concerns if 300 white single males between the ages of 16 and 49 from Australia at the tax payers expense were housed there. You star
  15. Patriotic and heterosexually compliant
  16. Just watch the clips of any protest predominately genuinely concerned local middle aged mixed sex people in attendance not a skinhead with Martens and braces on in sight. But counter protests by Antifa and care for Calias are mostly youngsters and a few hippie types bused in from out of the area. Its coming because they want it mate sad but true.
  17. All true mate but nothing has changed, anyone still highlighting these issues are immediately labelled as far right. I keep hearing my kids wont do this and we need to stand up for our children but the sorry fact is the youngsters are the ones that want a multi cultural Britain. I wouldnt allow my boys as children into the mosque on a school visit (the muslim children were exempt from attending the local church), I have visited the school when they couldnt understand the Pakistani maths teacher and only recently I have been in touch with councillors and local papers to express concern at
  18. History has taught us situations like this don't end up well and we haven't learnt from it. I know people who were moderate thinking becoming more and more right wing and right wing who are going off the scale. Keep poking a sleeping dog and even the most docile of animals eventually bites back its whether its all gone to far to reign it in is the biggest problem faced now.
  19. Had a meeting with one of the biggest egg packers in the country yesterday said they have never been so busy 17 million eggs a week going through the plant and they have had no supply issues as of yet.
  20. Never has the phrase "you reap what you sow" been more true
  21. I was chatting to the bloke in the local farm shop on Saturday plenty of tomatoes and cucumber on sale. He said its the supermarkets refusing to pay the price from the supplier, they then create "a shortage scenario" giving them the opportunity to put the price up. The suppliers have a shit load of stock they cant get rid of so cave in, supermarkets keep the price at the inflated "shortage level" making even more profit off the supplier and the consumer. Morale of the story, fcuk the supermarkets support your local farm shop.
  22. I've written previously that I've been badgering the local councillor who has been writing how great the influx of migrants to the area is and filling the local news letter with lies. I haven't spoken to one person who is in agreement but not one will so much as write a letter or turn up at the local meeting with me and the news letter has ignored my emails but the councillor is now claiming I'm whipping up hatred. Not once have I said we shouldn't house genuine migrants I've simply questioned how he can condone it when he has no idea who these people are, where they are from and if they are e

  25. It is truly shocking, there are over 2500 veterans currently homeless in the UK and over 1 million people on the social housing list. In the whole of the Sedgmoor region as of the 21st of December 2022, they only had 267 registered properties available and those 1 million are slipping further and further down the housing ladder.
