  1. I went up there last year ....was stunning ,my missus is usually unimpressed by scenery but told me to pull over and we got out at the top of rest and be thankfull, and looked over the loch. Then carried on left to lochgoilhead ,where the loch jumps out at you as you get to the end of the road stunning g
  2. Ahh I see your problem just clicked you have a male ,I see where you are coming from
  3. Can anyone say there's any difference between all the strains of whippet ? are some bigger stronger?do some have more drive ? Are any better put together or have any better wind. Never owned a whippet and wouldn't mind a small lurcher or whippet for my lad ,
  4. don't breeding alurcher appeal to you? Maybe over a beddy grey ,collie greyhound or saluki greyhound ? May get a lot more than you have at the moment just a thought. Good luck whatever you decide
  5. thanks for the link. Like you say, there is loads of that stuff around but my aim would be to produce something exaclty like him ( in a perfect senario) and i know he is fairly typical of his lineage. So breeding to a good bitch of the same blood would make sence but the question still stands.. is it time to outcross for health reasons ?don't think it would hurt,as a/sam is in there quite a it ,but my knowledge on whippets is nowtMaybe a whippet forum can tell you what has worked in similar situations. Do you want to keep the ikc registration,if not maybe a non-ped racing type
  6. http://thewhippetarchives.net/details.php?id=180733 There's plenty of sooty Sam stuff about so maybe try something else lol
  7. They are a great way of building fitness and agility but as said if I was using it,it would be more letting the pup catch it every 2 or 3 passes, and getting it to give back ,I'd leave the intense stuff until grown
  8. I've still got a Tiablo A9 with the Aspherical kit...works perfect still after a good few years of abuse. I also have a 72mm Aspherical lens...but still not found anything to put it into..I also like the old 52mm Mag aspherical kits..they would make for an interesting set up on the end of some of the more modern LEDS. camera lighting filters or stage lighting filters can help to make the Leds colour temp change from blue/white to the same as a halogen glow..I used a pale straw/yellow filter. . . now the bunnies eyes are Red again. Still not found anything to beat the 170 Striker yet. vi
  9. I hope he recovers well mate and there's no lasting damage, shame he's had to get rid of the pup ,bet he's gutted
  10. Hope he gets sorted mate ,I know you gave them all you could, and the fella raised them well,so will be ideal for someone come September
  11. Yea I saw that ...think it's one of Dodgers litter, the lad has broken his leg looks a stunning pup 8 months http://m.preloved.co.uk/m/showadvert/112847961/romeo-bred-pup.html
  12. I mean a well bred pure bull to a well bred coursing dog instead of your usual bull grey half cross
  13. Brilliant jigsaw ,nice bit of sport well earned
  14. Fair play mush ,cracking trip mate
  15. i'll get a bag here, if he'll eat it i'll give you a shout mate top man
  16. I can imagine he was a hardy ,tough dog with that breeding and I bet the stamina wasn't lacking
  17. I think they'd certainly have a nasty streak with a lot of attitude. wouldn't mind seeing a strong coursing bred bitch to a pure bull .both bred right of course
  18. It may well be worth buying a bag here to try ,and if it works out get a pallet load
  19. He is that type Lee,he constantly play fights ,and rarely sits down.so as you say they will find it harder to hold some weight on them
  20. that's a good price f/d cheapest I've seen it is 25 quid might give a bag a try ,the others will eat if nothing else.
  21. He does like his tripe to be fair and I have more puppy meal than what I know to do with but it's just the amounts he eats doesn't seem to do him. I exersise him free running mainly although I have run him by the bike a bit lately ,he is a little overactive the type that never keeps still .If I cut his exercise he eats less lol after a good run he tends to eat well ,bit of a catch 22 I suppose. He will have a week of solid eating 3 times a day then 3 days of eating virtually nothing then a couple of weeks eating well then a week of nowt again, I'm in no doubt I have made him this way,p
  22. Be interesting to hear from someone who has Had both .only having had bull crosses I can't comment on Wheaton crosses, although I hear they can be a bit of a handfull in their pure form
  23. Sorry mate ,eats it cooked, occasionally eats raw but rarely
