  1. Seen him work and was a sight to see, I was offered the use of him as a stud ,but used razor ,if my bitch wasn't 9 year old and I needed a pup,I'd definitely be on the long road up north. I'll leave what he can do to dai, but his 3 legs don't hinder him Much as far as I saw Or if they do he must have been one he'll of a dog before his accident. If a bitch is worthy of breeding from and you want drive go see the spiderpig,.............I would
  2. Empty your in box ideation . I'll second Lloyd's dog spiderpig, and hope I got one with 1/2 the drive
  3. if you got the right collie blood personally i reckon it would be more benificial then good saluki blood for both rabbit and deer job.I think both crosses should do all tbh Just meant if if I was giving lots of longer runs a bit of saluki wouldn't hurt but both crosses if bred right should be capable of all the quarry I mentioned, but I'd be looking if both parents do the job ,rather than the breeds.
  4. I think if I was running more rabbits ,I'd go with a collie in the mix ,especially if ferreting etc as well.if pre-ban I was doing more hare and maybe deer I'd sway towards some saluki, their type of stamina being slightly different. With that being said,I'd look for the one where the parents was doing what I want, and had a few seasons under their belts. Then the breeds would be secondary.
  5. looks a cracker dodge.powerful for a bitch too.

  13. Lovely collie cross ,Shaping up nice dai his brother is bouncing at the minute mate
  14. See you down on the Fens next year if the Bull blood don't shine through hahato look at him you wouldn't guess there was much bull in him Andy and he runs very UN-bull like, but it's not how he looks I'm to bothered with,I'm more concerned he'll take after his mother regards to the grit/heart whatever we'd call it, although I'm aware the sires side has it in buckets,is it the same sort of heart? If the bull blood shows through I'll be made up Andy as he can certainly run a bit for a pup lol
  15. My older bitch is 9 and has done everything I've asked she's light and 3/8 bull I have a pup out of her to razor hoping enough of her heart carries through into the pup ,if not he'll be used to his strengths . The question of whether I'd ever do with out a bull cross, well the jury is still out ,but I'd say a bit of bull has never hurt a lurcher
  16. They can do an ovulation test to tell you when she's ready
  17. My pup who's 8 months is nervous of strangers, both human and dogs ,there a couple on here that can vouch for that , He has some saluki in him don't know if it's that or the fact he had his needles late and couldn't go out until 13 weeks ok after a while but needs watching
  18. I had a patt x cocker and that was some dog ,I'd imagine these will be interesting
  19. Mind if they are going to put wind turbines anywhere,up there is as good as it gets lol
  20. he looks well I thought he'd be about 12 stone by now how he eats but he has a nice nature and runs clever for such a young dog ,be very interested how he shapes up October next year all the best with him dai
  21. what I did is put a thread up on here it got about 16 pages got loads of offers from lads breeding off bitches that where vitually pups or dogs that hadn't done much there was loads of arguing the n the thread got locked ....you know .....the usual thing lol. Then all you have to do is sort out who you believe, who's lying ,if the dogs are the right size and stamp for you ,then hope for the best they make it easy really. So just get out with other lads watch their dogs work and get one off them when you see the type you like In a dog so bred my bitch, and then had the hassle of getting dece
  22. A coursing bred dog from the right lines could do all that if entered sympathetically.a small bit of bull wouldn't hurt ,but I'd be more interested what the parents and to some extent, grandparents done, and done well, Not beyond the realms of a lot of lurchers, But if I was to buy one on in I'd buy a pup from a couple of generations of breeding for what you want if possible
  23. I heard you was so sick the government asked you to leave the country even have you the air fair ,but that's just a rumour I heard.and that's how they start lol
