  1. I'm hoping to breed my bitch any time soon she's 3/8 bull 5/8 grey she's never missed a beat never let go,but is steady and a great family dog, putting her to a Coursing bred dog hopefully should do most jobs .
  2. How old your bitch D lloyd ? I have been waiting a while for mine to come in ,I've had her on royal jelly not sure if it's helped but it hasn't harmed her give it a shot I only paid a tenner
  3. My lurcher bitch is over due to come in to season. She's 8 year old ,and I intend putti g her this time. She is getting frisky at the minute tail going across when you touch her back, running up to the run to get to the male terrier, urinating over where he has etc,but as yet no out ward signs. Usually this comes later with her after she's shown blood etc. It may be me being impatient ,but can she have a season with out the outward signs of blood swelling etc. She did have a jab a few years ago due to a mis-mating and developed a womb infection But has been fine since although i

  6. Now tomo...if you had posted photos of loads of different shades of merle or they was less than 5 miles away you'd have had me hooked... I hear you though folk are always saying quality collie crosses are like the proverbial hens teeth but here you go lads get your name down
  7. Maybe just a little full on ,I'd imagine the 1/2 dozen runs wouldn't satisfy their work ethic. Maybe an 1/8 would be plenty
  8. ..have seen them in action myself, they need a LOT, of work to keep them quiet, work like this below, watch the whole clip and you will see what i mean.. Nah mate looking for something a bit more agile and more drive shame nice dog though
  9. I suppose anything can be done The money it costs may be the problem
  10. Just got to decide now dog or bitch ,what cross etc
  11. Some heads on them mate, strong
  12. Yes I totally agree breed clubs have a lot to answer for Lee and, for their particular breed, more than the kennel club does. Unfortunately humans being what they are ,are competitive, and some want success regardless of what that means for the breed or individual dogs. So ,let's say a bulldog s standard say massive or broad head (not read the standard)100 or so year ago it meant something totally different. it's open to exaggeration ,where will this end.Maybe this should be where the kennel club through their accredited judges should step in. But they do sanction breed standard's and
  13. Yea agree but a rest is needed and we'll deserved .helps repair tired muscles tendons or any knocks they've had,not total rest just let them do it at their own pace through the summer ,especially With the heat.
  14. I tried the m6 but they never get past a trot
  15. There an excellent sticky by sky at above pretty much covers it . But during the summer I'd let them have it easy ,building up gradually,I think their body looking trim and we'll muscled start hitting it harder . There's a million and one ways to get there just keep it fun for yourself as well.I walk them and let them do there own thing preferably where there's a few rabbits to keep them on their toes. Some cycle ,run along side the car etc
  16. I think the reason Registry of greyhounds by the ncc not being detrimental is because the breeders are breeding for performance,so that king of goes hand in hand I'd have thought withan healthier animal, than if say they bred then to "look" faster. And give a made up story why they need certain attributes like longer ears or flowing hair .
  17. I agree there's no harm in papers, And as you say may help with breeding within a line, but you can have a pedigree without kennel club registration, just take a look at some working terriers and coursing dogs lines go back generations
  18. Any changes in breed standard's,have to be approved by the kennel club, judges have to be accredited by the kennel club The reason you get such exaggerated dogs is when one dog ,with for example, has a bigger head or longer hair and they dominate showing, the other exhibitors Breed off or try to emulate that exaggeration. If k.c. accredited judges placed healthy balanced fit dogs, hopefully breeders would stop the stupid harmful practices that have got some formerly great working breeds in such a dire state.e.g bulldog Bassett G.S.D (amongst others) I think if they are the body that g
  19. Pup looks a corker, Ronnie Was it a straight saluki over a bull whippet grey ?
  20. Sounds a decent animal your mate has try and get some photos up flacko mate
  21. What a character he looks tomo great photo
  22. I think for a working dog papers don't matter one bit. I suppose if kennel club trailing is your kennel game I suppose you need them. A healthy proven working after 5 or 6 seasons of hard graft will let you know if the have bad hips etc but you don't need kc registration to test for it .I personally would rather choose an unregistered dog As I don't want to perpetuate the bad practices by some kc breeders Or fund them in anyway
