    I paid £100 8 year ago I thought that very reasonable, Would pay hell of a lot more for her knowing what she has become. Priceless to me . If I ever get a litter outmine I'd sooner them go to a home where they get loads of work on lot of varied quarry and gift them in return to see them work a few times when they are doing their owners proud

    I think that like saying if you have lots of money you will look after a dog will be looked after better,plenty of pedigree staffs that cost £300-500 plus in shelters I think the cost is down to supply and demand,simply too many Not enough demand.I suppose if there was money in it there could be more people wanting to breed them....But I get what you mean £ seems no money for a lurcher

    I had a pair of the chameau mouflon plus . Great comfy boots,but the sole came away after a season Maybe due to the way I took them off but I would spend my money else where in future

    The lurcher I've got now was so laid back as a pup, retrieving a ball or toy Never interested her. Her recall however was spot on something that helped when she was in the field as she retrieved game from the first rabbit,just don't rush taking it off them at first may make them bite down on there rabbit ,or worse not come straight back

    I agree Fox digger But I also think they need to do it regularly my bitch does all you stated except daytime hares ,but you have ferreting and a terriermans dog to add To be an allrounder as well as other quarry

    Had the terrier rip a wire mesh run to get at a mastiff bitch in season She killed him ,I bought proper galv panels after that and kept all separately.Not worth the risk.if I can't house separate I'd not keep At as many.Terrible waste of a good dog.
