there are three main reasons that dogs eat their shit, and it is more common in puppies than adults 1. some sort of nutrients in the diet are lacking and the dog is trying to get them from eating other stuff 2. most types of tinned meat and dried feed contain additives which make them taste nice and smell nice, but these additives dont get digested in the dogs gut so the shit still smells and tastes nice to the dog 3. behavioural issues, boredom, stress, and other negative moods can cause a dog, especially a pup, to eat its filth as a coping mechanism of all the pups i have kno

i cant remember the exact details, but a few years ago some academic from a danish university did loads of statistical research, and found basically that the birth rates amongst the "useful" members of society were getting lower by the year, and the "degenerates" were increasing. he drew the conclusion that over time the overall quality of society was falling. guess what, he was absolutely destroyed by the bleeding hearts, the liberal, apologist, PC , politicians hounded him, he was forced from his job, his career and life were ruined. and just because he spoke the truth!!!

Personally, I think it's as plain as day that all the wanna-be MPs on the council just see it in financial terms mate.......the little bloke putting up his on little bit of paradise is only worth 1200 quid a year in council tax........but the big development is worth 400 times that number.......more for them to piss away playing politician in the council chambers every week. we've said it before about politicains, ciuncillors, the lot......................... THEYRE ALL C**TS!!!

chuck out all the bedding and spray bleach on as paulus said, but make sure you rinse well and dry properly before the dogs use it, bleach can be pretty nasty stuff

trouble with a lot of stuff is when big corporations are involved. if their plans are rejected, they hire in planning consultants, and go through as much legal process as they can, which a lot of councils simply cant afford to fight through the whole court system. this is why you see developments with a bunch of new homes, but they say "this complex will include a doctors surgery, park etc" as a deal with the council: let us build all these houses and we will give you a few bits for the community, otherwise we'll see you in court. its the same with the big supermarkets, they just put a ph

dont get carried away by the wording of the article, these deer are certainly not any where near the city of london, they will be somewhere round chigwell, walthamstow, where there are quite a lot of green spaces, and just a spit away from epping forest. the deer in epping are increasing rapidly, despite the fact that they have a pretty strict culling policy, as there are so many areas where it is simply not safe to shoot. as for deer in the city itself, we were seeing muntjac in hampstead garden suburb 20 years ago, and i think they are probably in fair numbers in parts of inner london n

used to be proper characters, the old totters. my mate's dad and grandad were scrapmen, kept a horse under the railway near deptford station. used to weigh in down the scrapyard bottom of tanners hill. i loved going out on the cart with them on a saturday morning, i could never understand how my mate wasnt interested. and as for my mate, did he become a rag and bone man? did he feck, last i heard of him he was at oxford university!! theres a lesson there somewhere......

yeah, alright, dont rub it in....... some good ideas here folks, thanks very much for your input.

socks, sounds like your main gripe was with the traffic, and i have to agree with you. when i drive down to see the family, i can get to brent cross in about 45 minutes, then 2-3 hours to get to lewisham/new cross/deptford area. and i really have to totally concentrate due to everything which is going on, which i find incredibly draining. as for lewisham itself? well. there is less litter in the streets than 25 years ago, and no packs of stray dogs (and so less dogshit) but those are the only improvements; in EVERY other way the area is 100 times worse. i love seeing the old man and the re

if i open a bale of hay and its a bit yellow and dusty inside (crap hay!) the mould spores can give me a really nasty asthma-type attack. also golden delicious apples give me the raging shits, i mean belly cramps projectile water out my arse, the lot. apparently there is a natural chemical in apples called sorbitol which causes water to be drawn into the colon, and it would appear that i am particularly susceptible to this , and that golden delicious have high levels of it. so just imagine about a litre of water sloshhing about in your lower bowel, desperately trying to force its way out u

a friend of mine has had to move into rented accommodation, and although he isnt supposed to have dogs, the landlord has kindly agreed that he can put up a kennel and run in the garden, but no dogs in the house. however, he is not allowed to put down a concrete base, so any suggestions? he doesnt want it to just become a mud pit, so is going to roof the run and thought about using a foot deep layer of sand or playbark. any helpful advice welcomed, thanks

but people keep voting for them wilf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just don't get it, they get sucked in by the lie that the labour party are the"working mans party" but in fact they are just otu to feather their own nests like all the rest, they all went to the same public schools as the tories, lib dems etc ffs, blair went to fettes - hardly the place for a working man! at least the tories are more open about how they are robbing the voters!!!!!
-
now, i'll admit that i'm no ecpert on the troubles, but from where i'm sitting, the peace process looked very much like blair and his cronies buying up the leaders of either side by offering powerful positions and good salaries in exchange for them winding down their operations. true peace or political bribery? i note, too, that since blair's days as UN peace envoy to the middle east, the whole region has crumbled with wars in just about every country there. nice work, tony

they should have s ome kind of scoring system for judges, say if the sentences they pass have to be reviewed more than 3 times and are proved to be wrong, then they get the sack. or put them up before a panel and make them explain just why they decided on a short sentence, and if the panel isn't satisfied then they get the boot. or something like that, at least make them accountable in some way as for the piece of shit whodid this, i dont think it should matter if he meant to kill the poor fella, just the fact that somebody is prepared to launch any kind of unprovoked attack should warrant

More chance of getting an ice cube to argue, on the internet, mate I just tend to state my own view, then f**k off. I rarely enough return to a thread, having spoken on it. I don't really care. But, as you're asking me some pretty specific things here? Sure. I'll try to answer your questions. I try to be polite Sorry I've taken so long. Been busy. Beast; I was in the kitchen, this morning. I first heard the Dogs, in here, warn. Then I heard a car horn. I went out there and, only on seeing me, smiling and coming forward ~ alone ~ did the meter man open his car door. Despite bei

Good Antiseptic For Small Cuts And Grazes
beast replied to dommorris92's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
for small cuts and grazes i give a good wash when the wound is fresh then leave the dog to clean it if it can reach. The solution is 9 grams of sodium chloride (NaCl) dissolved on water, to a total volume of 1000 ml. As 1 grams NaCl occupies 0.18 level teaspoons, 9 grams NaCl is 1.62 level teaspoons. The mass of 1 millilitre of normal saline is 1.0046 gram at 22 °C.[2][3] The molecular weight of sodium chloride is approximately 58.5 grams per mole, so 58.5 grams of sodium chloride equals 1 mole. Since normal saline contains 9 grams of NaCl, the concentration is 9 grams per liter divided -
pete, without meaning to start an argument, you say you wont let people near your dogs, so how do you enforce this? i'm sure you dont completely remove them from any situation where they would see a stranger as you dont seem the type to fail to socialise your dogs properly. do you not tell people to keep away? i do at times, i simply say "dont touch the dog please" in a firm but polite tone. no need to get pilloried for saying that! and indeed, the only response i've ever had is apologies! would have been very simple for the chap in question to say to the kids parents to keep the child back.

Great stuff !!.....brings back a few memories,my ol fella worked down Smithfields i remember him walking us through Club Row animal market in his overalls and have dogs chasing him from one end to the other ...I had no real interest in animals as a kid but me and my little pals would walk through there on our way to going nicking down Petticoat Lane we,d see old boys standing there holding 7 or 8 pups in their arms....i dont know if you remember the stolen goods market behind the flower stalls in Victoria Park we would always end up there later in the aftenoon and you,d see the same old boys

they should bring in the 3 strikes-and-you're-out law; on your third offence, no matter what it is, you go inside forever. they brought it in one of the US states a few years ago, and a fella ended up getting life for stealing a slice of pizza; at that point the criminals realised that this was serious and crime fell by something like 50% almost overnight

scandalous, especially since the dog was supposedly under the handlers control, not running loose or unsupervised. and what a stupid thing for the "dog behaviour expert" to say, basically if a dog is unable to move away from a stranger it is OK for it to bite!
