  1. if you stockbreak him, and get decent recall, that is all you need for starters. everything else is a bonus. good luck!
  2. about 20 years ago keepers from london zoo were called to catch a lynx roaming loose in north london think it was muswell hill? nobody was registered with the local authorities as been licensed to have a lynx, so it had either travelled some distance from original escape place or had been unlicensed
  3. mate, doyouknow that anyone accessing this link can go through your whole photobucket gallery you need to look at your privacy settings on there
  4. i have broken ribs on three occasions, twice when i was a stupid lad fightin g (got stamped on once, and got beaten by two blokes with barstools once) and the third time i had an argument with a horse. i found cool water was very helpful floating about in the swimming pool or even lying in the bath. and for fecks sake DO NOT SNEEZE! you will think you have been shot! give it a month and you will be past the worst of it.
  5. are you sure they werent youngsters? loads of young crows rooks and jackdaws round here at the moment, just about flying but dopey as hell. dogs have caught about a dozen this week
  6. she is a despicable waste of a human life.
  7. last week england showed the world the greatest defensive display since rorkes drift, this week they put 44 points on australia; to be capable of playing two such totally contrasting styles and yet do both of them superbly is a mark of a very very good outfit; there is more to come, and IF this progression continues from such a young side then new zealand might want to start looking over their shoulder in a year or two....well done england on a magnificent tour.
  8. Jimmy Krankie to me is like a 'Pound Shop Merkel' that is a brilliant lookalike
  9. There is nothing sinister going on there , there is a crb check and there is an enhanced crb check which details everything including claims etc which would be applied to working with children etc yep i understand that about the CRB check etc but all the checks came back clear, officially he has a clean record. actually they are now called DBS checks, not CRB checks any more
  10. just to add, i'm not being critical of the police or anybody else here because they are obviously trying to protect children, just wanted to highlight the damage caused
  11. i don't want to jump into the other thread which is really none of my business, but i thought i would tell you about a friend of mine and something that happened to him. this was about 5 years ago. my mate, we'll call him john, is a general handyman/builder, in his 40s, divorced, no kids, but has done voluntary work for local youth clubs and kids centres etc for years. about 5 years ago he met a woman and started a relationship, she ended up moving into his house and her 13 year old daughter too. after a few weeks the girl tells her teacher that john has been touching her. all hell br
  12. I have written this on nhere before, but don't mnd throwing it into the mix again. a friend of mine is a zoo keeper, she has been doing that since the early 70s, has worked with just about evry animal you ever heard of and some that you never did! including panthers, lleopards, pumas etc. one night driving through harling forest in norfolk she sees something ahead on the road, as she gets closer it isnt moving so she slows right down thinking it is a deer (loads of red, roe and muntjac in there) and as she gets closer she sees a black pnther just standing in the middle of the road. gets to abo
  13. england have been magnificent on this tour. makings of a very very good team. i wonder what would happen if they played new zealand next week
  14. See quite a few when I walk the dog in the early hours around here (near to Yorkshire Grey/McDonalds and Sutcliffe Park, Eltham). Nothing unusual to see 5-6 whilst walking around. Saw 5 one morning on Eltham Green last winter, and some are really brazen, I've had them come over to within about 15-20 feet of me, the dog goes loopy. Had one follow us one morning and over mark every place my dog had pissed. Railway embankments are popular places for them to earth, I used to be a freight train driver based at Hither Green and used to see loads especially during the night. Even bowled over a dog a
  15. but that van damm these days has gone nuts, he is some kind of dog-rescuing bunny hugger nowadays, and has had more plastic surgery than joan collins
  16. used to take quite a few on the old railway sidings round grove park and hither green, lots of the big parks and cemeteries (camberwell old cemetery always had a few) and even some of the car parks round the estates (up behind leegate near the railway always a good spot).
  17. did a tour of the normandy beaches and cemetery a few years ago, and as i stood looking out across the beach thinking of all those lads lying dead i found myself in tears, what a shame and a waste and what a sacrifice. and i thought of all those wives and mothers at home waiting. heartbreaking.
  18. as i see it ( and admittedly i am a bit hard core about this) we need to be seriously hard on all crimes against people ( violence, sex crimes, muggings, burglary). ten yeras for burglary or fifteen years for a mugging might put people off. 25 years minimum for rape? might just think twice. problem is that with prisons so overcrowded there is a reluctance to hand out jail sentences, but it should be seen as an investment in the countrys future. build a load of jails, fill em up and in a year or two the filth will realise that actually we are serious about cracking down on crime. crime will dro
  19. quite a lot of my mates say cockle ( as in cock and hen = ten) but i never heard the other two.

    Your Kids.

oh, and as for my little ones, they get as much hugs and kisses as i can get away with. nothing better than relaxing in my chair with one or two nippers laid across my lap, all sleepy and cosy. i always bath them and put them to bed every night. whenever they cry in the night i will get up for them, dont mind at all. and i always get up, get them dressed and take the older to school when i have days off. gives their mum a break, but lets me have some time with them too

    Your Kids.

my dad is almost , and me and my brothers and sisters are all in our 40s and 50s now, but we always give each other and the old man a hug and a kiss on the cheek. dad was always affectionate with us, but we were never physically close with each other as kids, that just kind of started when we were "proper grown ups". we get a few looks when we meet in a pub or such, but nobody ever says anything. mind you, i have 5 brothers and they are all bigger than me (and i am 6 foot and 14 stone) so its not too surprising!!
  22. yeah we say that. and a bullseye and a longun
  23. nobody seems to care. you have numerous mass murders in the streets of france and what happens? nothing. a district in belgium overflowing with radicals and terrorist sympathisers, what do the belgians do? for fucks sake, we have a british soldier cut to bits on the streets of london and we do nothing!!
