The new venue is a cracker much better than the carmarthen show ground it really looked the part last year as it did in Gelli-aur. Great day out but that food tent is a right pain the girls had to keep dragging me out Ideation should get up there with some of that pork of his and get knocking out the rolls and bacon sarnies with some good bread be a winner. But I bet the pitch fee''s aint cheap

dug the first of the new spuds red duke of york quite poor these were from about 6 plants. A couple of chaps have tried them up there before with a poor harvest so won't be doing them again. I remember tiercel saying they like a ph of around 5 and I am above that but as a comparison on the same patch we have the duke of york which are struggling and the kestrel looking much better. I like kestrel they make nice chips and roast well too spuds out and sprouts in Nice flowers on the peas -

Just a few bits today going to freeze some rhubarb. Picked up a few bags of well rotted chicken manure today had these sods behind me I was keeping an eye open lol. Farm said the bull is ok as long as you don't stare him down Going to layer both plots from end to end in shite then I can have onions like me neighbours instead of my silly things -

Same here the property I was bought up as kid is just down the road I pass it all the time. Full of memories the little oak where my first terrier is buried under still there just over the hedge where it won't get disturbed. The little chicken shed crumbled to the floor. Every time I pass the place it gets me

Pulled the garlic this morning seems to have done good again. Tempted to yank the onions out the way they don't look like to are going to do any good. Then again they may start to bulk up a bit after the longest day maybe mmm. I know one thing this winter I am really going to pile on some manure -
one of my girls just won't listen me and her mum have told her time and time again if you do such and such then such and such will happen and we nearly always right but she won't listen. She likes to make her own mistakes and then make them again and again lol. If I am honest I don't think we have ever managed to stop her doing any thing and boy have we tried. Next disaster on the horizon is a whooping great tattoo on her 18th apparently. I just roll with it now we cant change any thing so I refuse to get worked up about it any more

Even if they start going out with the scum of the earth then I refer you to my previous post

you have very little or no say in the matter to be honest so best go with the flow

I haven't looked at them. But how many vets are willing to deal with "John Lewis" direct? Most vets are happy to deal with pet plan and reccomend them. I'm sure there are alterior motives, handshakes etc. But I don't really care. I just know that the vets sort all the paperwork out and I just pay the excess. Little bit more for piece of mind TerryD said petplan wanted £29 per month per dog, I was only giving a cheaper option at £10 per dog.... I've no doubt as long as dog is insured things would get sorted either way and if John Lewis pet insurance is 1/2 as good as there in store
-
petplan don't care as long as you are not making money with them. Though I wouldnt say my dog was chasing a rabbit when he broke his leg as you never know and there's no reason to mention it Petplan wanted £29 per month per dog!! for mine so gave them a miss. Daylight robbery my lurcher was about 14.00 a month or there abouts

I have had success spinning with a wedge on the last couple of hours of the ebb at the base of an estuary as the water starts to settle

used to have a little beddy whippet not sure of height but the terrier in this picture was 14 inch. She had 21 one night on the lamp and was a lovely little dog

Not seen the sheep for a while so thought we would brush up today. Things have improved lot since a friend said to me that dog doesn't know how to act around sheep and I need to trust him and I think he was bang on. He made a few mistakes as a pup so I then spent nearly every day showing him sheep and marching him through them and giving him a bollocking for even looking in the direction. The end result was he got stressed to hell every time he saw one and didn't know what to do for the best. But now I rarely go looking for them and when I do see them I completely blank them and so does he. Hi

Planted out some nice savoy today they did really well in the cold frame plenty of broadbeans started to pick lettuce onions are not looking that great compared to others on the plots. My neighbour thinks my plot hasn't had much manure over the last 30 odd years netted the gosgogs before they go bye bye currants have some thing wrong and looks quite serious they are not cropping and hardly any new growth so I need to sort them had a great crop last year. They have lots of bind weed around the roots maybe th -
You are certainly doing your best by the dog and yes insurance does take a weight off the mind
-
I could use this to identify some of weeds on my plot plenty to test it on. Wonder if they would be brave enough to incorporate mushrooms in it https://www.finedininglovers.com/blog/curious-bites/plant-net/ well its not much cop gave me a hundred variations on a dock
