  1. I've just taken delivery of mine, similar to these. I can highly recommend his stuff, very good value for money. I have had one or two knives over the years being an ex butcher and there ain't nothing that drops on a block that the knife I got from him couldn't handle. It'll be coming on my trips away camping too, it's man enough for batoning wood for the fire no problem. Pleasure dealing with too, does what he says, when he says. Get on em, you'll not regret it.
  2. just taken delivery of a knife and sheath from riohog. top quality gear and pleausure to do business with.

  9. How long are the stockies in the water you fish as i could not imagine them been too tasty. The lake i fish holds quite a lot of wild brown trout aswell as stockies and rainbows and i have to say there is no comparison taste wise, although when the rainbows are in the water for a few months there not bad eating. Not 100% sure but not long as its only just reopened. Taste wise there probably on par with what you would get from the supermarket, but will improve after they've been in for a few months like you say. the stockies are grown pretty much exactly the same as commercially farmed sup
  10. Some belting photos there newkid, tight lines hopefully on the way!
  11. you can use a cordless power drill for the locks, seen plenty of them being used. my mate had great time in cabin cruiser on the norfolk broads, great predator fishing and decent bream in places, a bit more comfort / space in a cabin cruiser and still plenty of pubs to go at....
  12. I don't think there is a specific mod for any section. 2 ways to get them, pm individually, go to the main forum page scroll down, mods on line are highlighted, hit there name then pm directly, 2nd way, hit the report button and send em all a message.
  13. Great read, thanks for posting moll. That keepa all ways impresses me, got some heart.
  14. You'll have more luck in the craft section, failing that, try the bushcraft forum or British blades forum, you should be able to pick up a blank from there, heinnes also sell them.
  15. thats excatly what the problem is, every chancer and dim wit claiming for a few grand and 9 times out of 10 its there own stupidity that was the root cause of them getting "injured". the bigger the business the more likely the insurance is likely to settle out of court if the company cant prove 100% that they have demonstrated a duty of care. its the main reason for all the red tape, cameras and higher insurance premiums that are strangling business in the Uk, we can thank the yanks for starting it all off with there litigation culture.
  16. Wrap the individual bags in a sheet of newspaper, then place a sheet of cardboard between layers.
  17. Fair play Joe...not even the coursing boys have had 5 threads locked in under an hour ...lol, gotta be a record surely? What's the saying? No such thing as bad publicity....You've certainly got the vote being thought about....

  19. I used Hobart mincers for years. Pricey but bomb proof, bargains can be had if your patient and willing to travel.
  20. Looks a tidy little mutt, treat it like any other pup, fact it's a Hancock doesn't dictate doing anything different. Spend as much time as is possible with it, bond and then train. Enjoy!
  21. Daft question, but have you tried the blade in the other way round?
