      Gone fishing!! Done well bud.

  2. Getting better all the time. I'd like to see you have a go at a woodlore clone.....
  3. Yeah thought about the towing as well, I am only after getting a new car 5 myths ago and i don't think it would be big enough to tow caravan, i think a trailer tent would suit more. Stick maximum tow weight in Google and your motors make n model, that'll give you an exact weight of legal load. I've got a bailey ranger 4 berth at the minute that weighs 850kg unladen. Couple hundred kg of kit in the van, plus a bit in the motor, you might be ok with your current motor.
  4. ive had every format going over the years, hammock n tarp, small tent, big tent, small campervan, motorhome, static....and just about everything in between. the way you describe your family at the moment i'd say caravan would suit you best. maximum living space, all the comforts, when your pitched you still have the motor for days out, no extra tax/MOT/insurance for a vehicle you dont use every day (motorhome). park up, drop the legs, fill your water, plug in, job done. i personally love this country, there are some beautifull parts, the weather can sometimes prove a challenge, with a toure
  5. It's a place of extreme's THL , that's for sure. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out who are the decent lads though, May not agree with everybody all the time but that's one of the draws of the place, all ways get a range of views. Gonna be a long fkin week now waiting till next Sunday night, good job works busy and I'm fishing next weekend, keep my mind occupied ! Lol
  6. Its not for me Smithie, its for a disabled bloke that i know , as for Game of thrones, yep its addictive not missed an episode yet Vikings is worth a watch aswell I've got series 1,2 + 3 box set dvd's. As long as you send em back when finished I'll stick em in the post this week.
  7. Was listening to the radio coverage from Normandy on the way back from work, just as I pulled up to get out of the car on the drive the minutes silence started, couldn't get out the car till it and the brass had finished. It's bin a shifty work at work as they go, it put it all into perspective. Lest we forget.
  8. Looking good Fuji, nice to see Don still knocking about. That black uns turning out nice going by the pics, looks like it could pull a few bunnies over.... Where's ruby? Seems like there's a little bit missing from the pics.....
  9. Haven't read the thread at all but in answer to sock, yes, without any doubt in my mind, the majority of today's youth would benefit. I had a couple of years in the army cadets as a teenager, voluntary yes, but the values and discipline instilled in me then have stuck with me, it was also fkin good fun at times.
  10. They look well looked after, as said, the black bitch on the last pic stands out for me. Don't know why you'd bother to justify yourself to keyboard critics, it'll make no difference with them, probably fire em up cos they got a reaction. As long as your happy feeding em, that's all that really matters.
  11. You can choose your friends but not your family! Close to my immediate family, mostly, but the "extended lot" don't concern me, some of them are the epitomy of what I think has fooked this country up. I'm old enough now to realise that if you surround yourself in shit , you will eventually start to smell.
  12. I've paddled the Wye but never fished it, be stupid to pass up the chance, if I'm there I'm in.
  13. You might find friends, family, workmates, local pubs will suffice. Get some bartering going on, I like giving stuff away an all, especially if it's cost me next to nothing to get. Whenever I go near the coast camping I all ways book a mackerel trip, just for the kids in our group of course lol!, we bring as many back as possible, dish em out at the camp to anyone who's about, met some nice folk over the years doin that, it's rare they never come wandering over with a bevvy later on as a thank you.
  14. Remember one of the rules is no fishing the match lake prior to the comp ....... I think that's a sound rule, few other pools for arch to go at though I think? Nothing to stop him watching the water and seeing how others have a bash either. If all goes to plan I'm hoping to get a bit of time down there in the build up myself.
  15. Good to see the young uns out and about! The lad on the left can cast better than a few of my mates who've been at it yrs.
  16. I'd like to pick him by his ears , see if he likes it,but my arms wouldn't be able to stand the fat fooker.
  17. Check out the condor range, heinnes have a decent selection.
  18. I like that. Good money for quality, functional, recycled furniture. Throw in a touch of art and you have a very desirable product. It's nice that.
  19. Poachers fuckers Jim? Lol, that's one of the funniest comments on this thread, that and Phil's pacyfing feckwits . Great thread this!
  20. Good honest write up, regardless anyone's views, it's your dog, and blatantly obvious you put a lot of thought into it. Some great advice on the thread as well, mixed in with the usual drivvle / crabbing. Classic THL! Atb.
  21. Whatever goes down over there, unless you search it out, mainstream media will give you a tenth of the whole and wash the fook out of it before they broadcast it, not too dissimilar to drug dealers , just a different product to control.
  22. The only reason they started to "clean the areas " were to make way for development (won't be no affordable housing schemes there..) and ensure there was a nice big gap between them and the visiting masses. They've basically pushed em out somewhere else to be left to live in squalor being ruled by drug dealers.
  23. Looks like the gear the police have been using over there to clear whole areas of people's homes, albeit shanty towns / favela's. I wonder if they'll use any of the revenue generated by the "beautifull game" to regenerate and house the displaced thousands?
