  1. I could walk away from a dozen different working terrier kennels with a digging dog,id struggle to find a find a terrier capable of working rocks, especially as the majority of kennels breed terriers that do not have the conformation for rock work.I can't see rock work being as popular as digging due to the dangers involved. Even up north. That's why that type isn't as popular. What is your idea of a dog built for rocks?
  2. 300tdi definitely. Solid engine, it's finding one without body rust.
  3. I wouldn't say rocks are an unnatural place for a fox to take cover, if anything it's the preferred place for a fox to take cover. But I understand what you mean, some dogs who won't push on will happily run through rocks because there's plenty of room for the dog.
  4. I suppose it depends on the work that you have for your dog. If you do rock work and digging there's no reason your terrier can't excel at both if it's built for it.
  5. Someone speaking sense! He puts it all into perspective.
  6. Yes put cold wet feet! Or insulated dry comfort I know what I'd pick, comfort wise I'm happy with fell boots and they didn't take much breaking in. Most of my permission is steep hill so they do the job for me. I also have a pair of meindls which I've hated from the start, and they soon leaked
  7. good for levelling off the start of a dig on a steep banking too.?
  8. they ain't great for mooching about I agree, but they're top for on the shovel. Can walk for miles in them and don't find them uncomfortable. Like every boot, they're waterproof until your shin deep in water.
  9. If you want a boot that lasts, you won't beat fell boots.
  10. didn't see many rough haired cork type dogs apart from a few a woman had in the ring. They looked the business.
  11. got to agree, More often than not they're ok once you get out and let them know you ain't fussed, it's when they Creep up behind you to take a hold of the back of you leg!
  12. I don't think they're Sealy's, but a white terrier of a certain type. I'm sure they do the job, or lads wouldn't keep em. Any lads in the UK work this type?
  13. White dogs Black dogs Black and tan\red dogs Borders Sorted ? When's the show?
  14. Ill warrant a few will be thankful they recognised their lack of hunting etiquette as ignorant youngsters and hunt better now because of it.Many an hunter now as learnt from his or her ignorance and stupidity.I don,t believe 6 months is an harsh enough sentence for the nuggets,5 years is 4 years to long.ignorance and stupidity are no excuse for that. Them boys aren't hunters and never will be.
  15. When did you first let it off the lead
  16. Looks a lump of a pup. How's it bred?
  17. if your opponent is doing it you must do it. What's there not to get? If you want to box at twelve stone, accept a fight at the 11 stone division because if you don't you'll fight someone heavier than you.
  18. The weigh in on the day in amateurs. Most cut down lower than their natural weight, mostly by dehydration, then put all the water weight back on.
  19. The only reason they are retarded is the company they kept,in reality they must have owned some useful terriers, dross bull bred lurchers and ego,s possibly matching their youth.Again we,ve all been young and dumb and learnt, these lads have lost their mutts and liberty because of their stupidity, not their terrierwork. They may become better terriermen because of it,many did and do.6 months is a right result for them.Obviously it portrays terrierwork in a light we may not wish to be illuminated with, yet lets be honest here.their terrierwork was disgusting. A perfect example of why lurchers shoul
  20. smart russells you got there.
  21. Nothing wrong with the brick, rugged accurate and doesn't make a sound.
