  2. Benzyl benzoate 50/50 on the coat and let it dry out. Good for ticks fleas and mites.
  3. I give a good 3 week before I go back on the same permo. Even if i let a dog sniff an entrance ill only check it again a few weeks later. The facts are around this area any known holding spot will often be visited by several folk in the same weekend.Another fact is it will be empty today and occupied tomorrow.that's the same local to me, there's paths leading to the earths ?. That's why i avoid the local haunts.

  5. I think its the fact nan pat says todays dogs are inferior to yesteryears, he must've only seen poor examples of black dogs, just like some people have only seen poor examples of white dogs.
  6. I'd say weight is a bigger factor than physical size. A heavy dog has more in its favour and can do the job more comfortably.
  7. Blaise has a little white bitch he works, sure he said it was 10lb.
  8. England is plagued with stuff! Issue is a lot of it isn't accessible to dig.
  9. What's with the egos? Why not just have a day out with the dogs, that's if they work?
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it hard to find an American brock to ground as they wonder on top in the day. They dig a new spot every night don't they? Only what I've read.

  14. yea the little fluffy bayers generally have..The ones Ive seen weren't little fluffy bayers.must be out crossed stuff then.. Can't speak for them all, but ns type bitches Iv seen were only good for hunt days, which is how the man wanted them..That's why I said NS blood. Not actual NS dogs. Ive seen a few that have definitely got a lot of that blood running through them and they weren't fluffy bayers.there you go then, out crossed.. NS family of dogs was just a mixture of outcrosses. Oh and Let me guess !!! You're a weekend warrior who can't dig that much and your dogs are abit rough in they
  15. do you still work the short Russell type? you don't see many over here.
  16. small dogs and big dogs, both struggle doing each others jobs. If your all over the country on a wide range of quarry your gunna need a few types of dogs.
  17. We're nowhere near being snookered & have several good options, this being 1 of them. With regards to breeding off that litter again no major issue there either..so what would you do?
  18. Get a pup off american lads who are working the quarry you'll be working. There's some on here. And only buy a pup once you've seen the parents work
  19. If the dog is to be the main dog used in your program, what is the next step if you wanted to breed from a good bitch in that litter.
  20. do some dogs regularly kill coon and groundhog to ground?
  21. what's different about glyns quick releases? Anyone got a link
  22. the way I saw my pup unclip itself a stiffer spring wouldn't stop it, only a fixed coupling. The fixed couplings eliminate the chance, no matter how well it is constructed, there's always a chance of a clip catching.
