  1. I've been gifted a pup for the first time last year. The lads didn't know me and let me see the dogs work and take pick of the litter. There's some gentlemen out there and I'm shocked how some people could turn against them for a few quid.
  2. the patt was probs in Ireland before then but was it called a patt? Either way I'm sure nobody has the definitive answer.
  3. Haye did exactly the same as the klit fight. Had an excuse prepared. The fat lads prediction was right ?
  4. Can't be serious. He's let everyone buy the ppv event and taken the purse, knowing he had an injury, just like the klit fight. That doesn't deserve any credit and it definitely isn't a sign of heart.
  5. your not winning until its finished. Haye was tiring and gassed. If his so called injury didn't surface he would have gassed even more. Well done to the fat lad, his prediction was right.
  6. I think labs are responsible for more biting incidents than any other breed in the uk. I was shocked at the statistic but they are popular.
  7. Missus has already ruled out a staffy...doesn't want a dog that she can't control if something was to go wrong.I wouldn't get a terrier with the kids, they can be snappy or sensitive to being wound up. I've always found the whippets very chilled out and laid back.
  8. Haye in the 2nd or 3rd. I'd like to see bellew drop him though and see if haye has heart.
  9. around the £250 - £300 mark I should imagine rob Not a chance I`m afraid. A signed print would make many times that. The original would run into 10`s of thousands. I'll keep it then?
  10. How much would the poacher fetch?
  11. The one I have as my profile pic. Spade work I think.
  12. that's a strong looking wee Russell type Darren. Is he off digging dogs?
  13. I know a lad who took all his dogs at the season end. The man reckons the terriers back was all misaligned, few cracks and off he went. How would you know they've done anything if theirs no initial symptoms of an issue?
  14. I couldn't watch a man do that without telling him he's a cruel c**t.
  15. agreed, I do it by eye, but I wouldn't give a dog garlic. Because it thins the blood ?I've been giving all my livestock garlic for years with no side effects. I usually give it for 6 or 7 days and then off for a week or two. Young poultry have it in their water 24/7. dogs aren't poultry. I'd rather not give it them as I've always been told its bad for them.
  16. agreed, I do it by eye, but I wouldn't give a dog garlic.
  17. Good stuff , not to sure about this one yet to be honest, time will tell stepped up to the plate on a tricky one sunday thats it for this year the half sister to yours womble you keep a smart type woods
  18. Depends on the ground you work. Would be pointless for me to unload a quad as I don't have to cover vast amounts of land. Quicker on foot.
  19. Overfeeding is a factor I think. A fat dog is carrying excess weigh and can be a lazy dog. Obviously when working they eat more, but some dogs will eat till they burst.
  20. agreed. Daily walk, start of the season start the work easy and by the time you've built up the workload you have a fit dog.
  21. Anyone had a young strong dog go down with it?. Any illnesses I've experienced are linked with weak dogs, litters with health problems and older dogs.
  22. That's worrying fd. Have a good clean out and get yourself checked, you can catch it from dogs.
