  1. sudacrem is a good one if they cant get to lick it off.
  2. My point was average from WELL bred stock is usually a good dog.
  3. An average dog describes most dogs, and an average dog from good breeding is a good hunting dog, because thats what its been bred for. Most people have never owned an above average dog from good breeding, and they havnt been any the worse off. Good is good enough.
  4. Reminds me of the old exchange and mart adverts, and every dog was a staghound!
  5. One of the few rights we have left in this country as far as dogs are concerned is to own our own stock and to dispose of it as and when we see fit. A place of advertising shouldnt be a discussion forum for people trying to boost their egos by casting judgement on advertisers or questioning their reasons for sale..Good luck with the sale. atb J..
  6. i remember some company used to breed them and send them all over the country by train..cant remember what the name was now.
  7. That is the man breeding the dog not the kennel club..Its the breed clubs that come up with the breed standards, but that doesnt stop you breeding your own way and still registering them with KC. The kennel club is really just a register. What they do is not fool proof but its there if you want it i suppose, but you cant blame them for dogs being spoiled by showing..They do not breed or show dogs..Its not the show people spoiling the workers imo. They are transparant and easily avoided. Its the shisters posing has terrier men and selling names that churn out all the rubbish that invariably gets
  8. Arthur Heineken with his Russells "18months straight to Badger"
  9. If it grows out will that mean the end of an era?
  10. I think it was his stall I got my last set from and they didn't last 2 minutes. Maybe different quality leather used. Id be shocked if it was Glyn Jones,he has made quality leather gear for years. Black dog makes leather gear too,had 2 lurcher collars off him that didnt last, cheap quality, you'll find him at plenty shows. that stuff is rubbish i agree.
  11. I do like leather collars but not sofas or trousers
  12. Last time I looked B&F Hadnt got any.
  13. Thats very good of you. Thanks and yes I will take you up on that.
  14. Can anyone recommend someone making good quality couples from leather? I dont like webbing so leather only thanks.
  15. If they are not doing it for pest control then they probably wont kill many. Where do they manage to get at them anyway? its either sheep or crops where I go.
  16. think he might now be a tad on his guard.,when any invites come his way.
  17. Brian Nuttall has got more sense than to advertise on here. Too many invisible critics that have been in the game many many hours in some cases.
  18. Nothing wrong with genuine people selling a few surplus stock. Its when they breed just to sell it gets a bit naughty, but if you are wanting to start and you dont know anyone you will be glad to see an advert. Terriers are probably the hardest thing to breed right and even harder to buy!!
  19. If he aint a grass he should be on here defending himself shouldnt he?
  20. Most bars are alluminium tubes which can be chewed flat by a strong dog. I would go for weld mesh. Dogs cannot be bitten through it. You want to see if you can get the ones where the wire is welded into the centre of the box section instead of tacked on the outside. I would recommend ultra kennels in staffs or if you are having bars then Sherlocks kennels in chichester. There bars are solid steel but there mesh is tacked on the outside, which i personally dont like. Remember if you choose mesh to check the gauge. 12g is thinner than 10g.
  21. I dont come from a close family, but I wish I had. You cant beat family if its a good one.
  22. Ive just remembered I had a ton on Karl to win
