http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFCXbA8nLEs&list=FL0t1T8Nj0aZ1THZ2z0ZRu0w&feature=player_detailpageMine's a bit like this. I have added some tin plate to the sides as i shoot them with my .410 some times.

I made a feeder out of plywood. Mine has a small hole at the bottom of it which lets wheat out. I place a small stone in the hole to stop birds eating the wheat, and if the stone is moved i know there are squirrels about again. I also built a nice hide 13yrds away. It's got a nice leather seat in it with a foot rest and sheves to put my tea and biscuits on. I have had 36 in about 4 months, 2 of them this week. Got the idea off of a guy calling himself 'squirrel hunter' on Youtube.

Got two CZ 452's. One in .22lr and one in 17HMR. both work fine .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=3ebniCHHP50 This might make it easier to under stand. This video is not for a HMR but it gives you an idea what you should be doing. The same principles applies for the windage.

I shot a rat today, that was on the bird table, with the .410, using Eley subs. Asked the Wife how loud she thought it was and she said she could hardly hear a thing. Bearing in mind she was about 6 yards away in the kitchen. Makita, yeah, love it. LXT600 18Volt Lithium-ion pack. Got fed up with the old 12volt stuff, so i treated my self. £596 delivered, 'Buy Now' price off Ebay, cheap as chips!!.

I bought a Baikal stealth a couple of weeks a go. I get rats, magpies, pigeons, jackdows and squirrels in the garden. The wife, and the dog, didn't like the sound of the Winchester SX3, it also blew big chunks out the lawn. The .410 is a lot quieter. The sub sonics don't make much noise at all. They aren't as quiet as a sub sonic 22lr with a mod, but compared to a 12g it's nothing. Even the high velocity rounds just got a crack to them, but still quiet enough so you don't need ear muffs. At first it's a bit strange trying to shoot cause you have this bloody great mod on the front, so you're a

I have a CZ 452. I got 3 x10 round mags and the 5 round mag that came with it. That's 35 shots before i have to reload anything, just right for night shooting.

like the sound of this idea, was the feeder one of them ones like bird boxes with the lift up lids, or different? Yeah, just like that. Check out the youtube vid that's in my last comment on here. It's not me, but that's where i got the idea.

^^^^^ I should have said the FAC application may seem dauntingf at first ^^^^

It may all seem a little daunting when ypou first read it. Do it one step at a time, and be patient.

I made a feeder filled with wheat and fixed it to a tree. About 15yrds a way i made a hide. Once the squirrels know they got a free feed they will come from all around to eat from the feeder. All you have to do then is sit in your hide with a flask of tea and pick them off as they come down to feed. Got the idea off of a bloke posting vids on youtube, calls himself 'squirrel hunter' if i remember right.

I got an Archer. Can't say i have ever had any thing that sounds like what you are descibing. The firefly some times gets water marks on it and needs cleaning, once cleaned it's clear as a bell.

FAO FOXDROPPER - MY BAIT STATION
PLEDGEY replied to FOXHUNTER's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
hed be out there shagging them surely..? Is it just me, or does anyone else think Brian May looks like he's turning into a badger?. -
Got hold of some 3'' subs today, put them through a Baikal with a full Mod. Not as quiet as a 22lr, but sure as hell quieter than an SX3. Got some high velocity 21/2'' cartridges in .410 as well, got a crack to them, but still not extremely load.
-
It looks like badgers. They do the same damage to the mother in laws lawn same time every year looking for leather jackets. Sister in law set up one of those cameras that take photos in the dark so you can see what's coming into your garden. Sure enough, it was a badger. When i used to do grave digging we used to find chafer grubs down the side of the graves, this was when we were redigging a grave to put another body in a double. They are very large white grubs that look like those things that Ray Mears eats in Australia, Whichity grubs.

Has anyone on here used any 2'' 9 gram .410 cartridges with a shrouded 410?. If so, how quiet are they?. Being subsonic, and being shot from a 410 with a moderator, are they as quiet as a 22lr sub sonic round shot through a moderator?.

Google ' Varmint Al's field testing 17HMR'. Loads of HMR stuff on there, plus there is a trajectory chart showing you different zeroing ranges.

Untill you are on someone elses permission and THEY have night vision
-
Don't even think about it. No one would pressure test it, and no one would fill it.
-
SAK. Cheap and does what you want a MOD to do.
-
Had a few scopes on my CZ 452 .22lr, but have settled for a Mamba Lite 4-16x44. It works perfect, and is ideal for my Archer night vision. You can get them for £159 on Ebay with free P+P. That leaves you enough money from your £200 to buy a SAK mod. Loads of people use SAK mods. At the end of the day it's a .22, you don't NEED to be spending shed loads of money on high end optics and Mods.

Careful, you'll have the Antis after you. Are Flies on the General Licence??

what size drill bit
PLEDGEY replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Drill some test holes in a bit of hard wood first. Just be careful and take your time. On the stock, mark it by giving a nail a slight tap, not too hard, where you are going to drill the hole. This will allow the drill bit to start to cut straight away instead of skateing about before it starts to bite. Hope this makes sense. -
how go around getting a permission
PLEDGEY replied to tmar5h's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
To my mind, every one who owns any sort of gun should be a member of BASC. You get good insurance, good advice and your subscription goes towards helping to keep shooting alive. If it wasn't for BASC, standing up for shooting, who knows where it would be.
