  1. They can turn the sky black up on the levels...pretty amazing to see.
  2. Sirius

    Cyst

There are very common and short of surgery there is little you can do. If they have been checked you just have to live with them.
  3. nor me Found this Paulus...Might take a bit of time bffering but its the first episode Not watched it all myself yet. http://thewalkingdeadseason3-tvnaticss.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/the-walking-dead-season-3-episode-1.html
  4. Bad as in good homeboy lol
  5. It's the classic old problem with those collars, Deben will sort it most of the time but sometimes you have to apply a little pressure
  6. A sensible dog who works hard is always better for lamping IMO, I like longevity for the rabbiting game.
  7. 90-110-Series superb off road and short journey, not great on road etc, but cheap parts and easy to fix. 300tdi Disco is more comfortable and again will go pretty well anywhere cheap parts, but do rust underneath. Freelander TD4 is the best, especially the commercial, very good engine, but nowhere near as good as a 90 or disco off road, Ok but not great. I have had all 3 of these and prefer the disco. Jap stuff can be good but parts are expensive.
  8. A good lamp dog doesn't pull up at the hedge IMO, there is alot of rabbits to be caught in the hedge bottom. two runs last night, both rabbits caught after being pushed from the hedge bottom during the run. Edited to add, A nutty dog throwing itself into a hedge at full speed is pretty undesirable and a accident waiting to happen.
  9. I mix my ferrets with other peoples ferrets often particularly when working big spots when we need 8-10 ferrets, and yes you get the odd scuffle and venting off, but generally things work out, if there a particular trouble maker don't use it. I was thinking on big days you could stick them all in one big court the night before hunting them together but this is not always a option.
  10. My show season starts april/may cant wait, I will be sitting in watching eastenders all winter though
  11. I love eukafeckingradioactivefunnycolouredcearealbasedextrudedkibbleuba for my dog then I top it up with waggdiscocolouredmadefromcrap for dessert  Seriously if you want to feed a dry it will cost you alot to get a fraction of the way near what you can achive feeding raw. A mixture of both is up to the owner, but I prefer feeding 100% fresh food.
  12. Travelling down the lanes in the motor to go lamping t'was like being in a fecking speed boat  Perfect at 8pm, monsoon at 10 past. It cleared for 20 minutes and the wind dropped, so any rabbits nutty enough to be out could hear us sploshing through the fields then it chucked it down twice as hard, I was wet as a otters fecking pocket I tell thee It really was pointless carrying on, shame as I was sure we were on for the Ton with well over 17 farms cleared for lamping but you cant catch what isn't there in those conditions It was the first time I have seen this little bitch of lev
  13. Great haul ernlad, as long as you enjoy it that's all that matters!
  14. Can't beat working dogs like that tomo 23 or just a few it's top sport.
  15. Nice job, a productive walk out. Had my rucksack straps break before ended up with rabbits legged round my belt, looked like I was wearing a rabbit skirt, I kinda liked it! Is that a little bit wrong? Lol

    Day #20

Tidy pics, Good to see those hounds looking well, they look far better than they did going into last season ;-)
  17. Bloody hell mate, after all the turmoil you have had with the bitch you deserved some luck with these pups. Its generally much more likely in the early stages of pregnancy, it's just one of those things I am afraid.
  18. I was thinking of joining Ukdoggers is that the same kind of thing?
  19. Yeah it was a nice little session, wish I had taken more snaps of the ferrets and dogs but its early doors with a whole season ahead of us..Get all the open warrens done before Christmas and save a few for easy days when I go solo. Thanks for the comments on the dogs, they are honest enough, and when the youngster tidies up a few minor things work wise like respect for the longnets they will be a spot on team.
  20. Nice little haul, once that cover gets knocked back things will be easier...
  21. We were out in the fields for 7am on Sunday and it made a pleasant change to be out in the frost with dogs, ferrets and nets. We visited a spot I haven’t been too much over the summer, so I was unsure of the lay of land, stock, cover etc although I have hunted this land for more years than I care to remember I like to have a quick visit before we ferret. Well I wish I had checked the particular hillside as when we were greeted with the long grass, ragwort and nettles I wasnt best happy as I had hoped to get some actions pics of the dogs working, but that wasnt going to happen. I knew we would
  22. Well done, she's a nice looking bitch and that's a good start for a first night lamping. Good hunting Sirius
  23. I must agree also she has a lovely shape to her, spot on. What's in the breeding?
