  1. It's not unusual in a young dog, my mongrel now 6 who is a honest rabbit dog, did this a bit due to him being pretty soft mouthed during the retrieve. just keep going with her, she will soon learn how to hold them on the way back in.
  2. It's a moooving story leveller, he sure dropped a bullock there. Anyone with heifer ounce of intelligence who shoots on a dairy basis would check the back stop?
  3. There's some good advice. Forget breeding off a sapling, chill out give her a few seasons. Good hunting Sirius
  4. Cracking dog lapin, just my type of dog. I like a splash of deerhound. This cross was very popular many moons ago, everyone seemed to have one. If they didn't throw too big (+25) I would have one now, if I could find something decent.
  5. Best nets I have for laying in runs in hedges are poke nets, I caught alot of rabbits last few years using them like that. They are also ideal for holes close together. Every net back should have a few
  6. Heavy rain I never really find to be much good. But if you have a day where it's rained all day and them clears or drizzles, and the winds still there it's generally a good night. Tonight might be worth a go as the cloud will be there to cover the waxing moon.
  7. I have given it a go a few times, pick easy spots and white ferrets or it can become a tad stressfull. Unless your lucky enough to have the job floodlit.
  8. The prob is technology is moving fast so last months new torch is old news. I have been told the Cree T6 is about the best at the mo. battery and charger needs to be bought as well. Anyone used one?
  9. Does being banned regularly not tell you anything?

  16. WHY? Are you really that vindictive? No he's just a very young lad, what he doesn't appear to comprehend is that people who have been in the game awhile, can see exactly what he is, its actually pretty funny.
  17. I have a special licence from the NT to ferret a fair area, it is pest control and there are limitations in place and you need valid insurance etc.
