Well it's better price that I get, game dealers 50p guts in. Saying that I get £3-4 for a skinned and preped rabbit. I just can be bothered with doing it half the time.

Yeah there are lots of variables too many to list really, this post just was a bit of fun to see what others have done..It's all down to luck and how the rabbits run..

That's some going brookie very lucky. I can think of several times I have done 10's on the same night with my current dog and seem a few others do 10. Usually thanks to a new sheep wire fence and taking them from the squat :-) Then again down here they are never too far from the hedge..

I am sure a dog could, but I am talking how it happens not a competition or planned just real life.

Out of interest, I generally keep a mental count of how many rabbits I run and what the catch ratio is on a night. I often lose count, but out of interest how many have you had without missing one? Which is inevitably going to happen, usually the second one for me. Obviously it means sweet FA really as land amount of rabbits and luck all play a roll..just wondering.

Had a walkout with my mongrel whose now 6 years old, he has been in the wars lately (two General Anaesthetics, broken teeth, and a blockage all in the last few weeks ) I just took it steady and gave him 10 runs or so and he accounted for 5. I was tempted to keep going as the weather was perfect and i wanted to try out the new deben lamp, but had a word with myself and headed back to the truck. Most of the runs were hindered by the long grass and brambles, but he managed to knock over a few and all delivered to hand in his usual style nice an alive Will start to get him out twice a week i

So its not a Kelpie but a ACD X, quite a bit of difference between those breeds apart from being Australian. We have quite a few Kelpies on farms local to me, some of them are nuttier than a fruitcake, and sharp with it. Nature or nurture I am not sure

Good kit, I have a 4ft one which is useful always in the truck. But my most useful one is a foot long and great for when in a dig and trying to find a tube in the walls of the dig.

depends what you want and how much I have a few kg's in the garage I think 4mm flat braid. I have been impressed by the smaller gauge braid/cord lines I have had from netrigger.

what slip leads does everyone use?

I like dog to work without a slip, but in certain areas I use one to prevent any accidents I use a normal gundog slip, its ideal and easy and saves buying posy slips or walking around with a peice of poly prop rope in your pocket. I suppose if you have a pulling steam train of a dog its not so good, but I wont entertain that sort of dog for lamping if I can help it and I don't use a collar either. -
