  1. pheasant shoots provide alot of carrion through winter for birds of prey. its not just done on big estates theses days there is small syndicate shoots popping up out the woodwork everywhere and they would provide alot of food through the winter and before you know it theres poults to wood again providing easy pickings.
  2. i take it you dont mind whats in the dogs breeding as long has its done alot?
  3. i know you said you would like to keep bull blood out the mix andy but that spider pig of D lloyds off here is from a good line of rabbiting dog. he might be worth dropping a pm.

    Rspca

they are slowly sinking there selves i reckon dymented. my misses tells me theres been a insident with a stray dog in my local town yesterday, it was hit by a train and one of the local vets had to be called out and either put it sleep or just attend the scene as the dog was allready dead not really sure what exactly happened. what i do know from her is the dog has been running lose around the local estate and in and out of the town for a good couple of weeks. reports of how the dog has been doing have been put on facebook by concerned people. people are disscusted with the fact that they
  5. vets mate. they are cheap enough unless you have a pack of dogs
  6. it did say on radio 1 on monday that mohamed was the most popular name in the uk and the muslim population only took up 5% of the whole uk population.
  7. i get mine from my vet ive been with him a long time and he does me it for a fare price. countrywide and other agriculture stores sell it.
  8. in my opinion dave once you go over 27tts i think in 9 out of 10 cases you start to lose that little bit of agility sometimes required to pick up rabbits on flat land. on the rough land it wouldnt be noticed but when it comes to the flat land the dog might look as though it is lacking something. thats when decent bit of brain is required in a dog to make up for its slight running/agility disadvantage. i prefer a bigger steadier dog because i think they can just take that little bit more when needed o.k they might not look has impressive as a lighter faster built dog on a rabbit but has lo

  10. they were trigger starting to get a bit of fat round the kidneys now when you see the we bitch retreiving they look huge with the size of her lol do you get much opertunity to bolt to the dogs on that ground instead of netting up? i like to see a dog on the arse of a bolting bunny.
  11. looks a nice bit of ground for mooching on that northenlite and those rabbits in the 3rd pic down look some nice healthy rabbits.
  12. i know of a gamekeeper that has lost his gun license for drink driving. not sure of the other circumstances but he has also had his guns confiscated in the past and that was again after a drink driving episode.

    Depression

funny old thing is depression. i suffer from it myself. sometimes i wont leave the house for a few days as i feel shit, i wont answer the phone to any fecker either. i aint being funny but i just cant be dealing with feck all when i got it bad.
  14. goodclips again rew. my impression from the clip of the collie cross was that its a young dog but i could be wrong. the way it run and the fact it missed the rabbit twice and when it did catch it the dog released then caught it again properly.
  15. i was just wondering how many folk are using the tracer 170 lamps and how have they found them compared to the lightforce striker? i have broken the reflector housing/head on my lightforce lamp so will just by a complete new lamp and be done with it. ive had the striker head 8 years so its lasted me well as i swap it over with my lance head from time to time when i lamp bigger fields.
  16. great read that.i know dymented has had the shit end of the stick with what happened to his dogs, but its nice to see a bit of good come from the auction and oprtunities that its provided for 1 or 2 folk off the site. well done lads.
  17. nice looking dog boylett. if that field is the one i think it is in the second pic then its a good spot to catch a bunny or two on the lamp. as you look at that tree the railway is to your right and the bypass to the left.
  18. where's it say they were guttedThey look gutted to me, if that buck wasn't gutted it would have a paunch like it had swallowed a space hopper...deer don't take long to swell up IMO.See I thought the does next to the buck had started to swell? 2 off the does do look as though they possibly havent been gutted. i would deffinatly say the others have. as jd has pointed out the bloat in no time at all with there guts in.
  19. you and vin are doing a bloody good job with those ferrets Tomo as the numbers didnt seem anything like when you took me there.
  20. great night thanks mate. i didnt get back until 7.15 this morning the fecking road works between here and vins are unreal a 2 and a half hour trip took me 3 hours 20 minutes on the way up to vins. not alot better on the way home either. didnt take any pics when i got home i was just to wet and tired to bother. i was starting to panic abit at one stage as there wasnt any rabbits about. i thought i had traveled all that way not to see much on the spot we had chose to lamp but thats part of the game i thought you win some and you lose some. as vin said a change in the weather helped

    What A Buy

bargain that socks. ive had my eye on one exactly the same has that but just havent got round to asking the chap if he wants to sell it. its been under his work bench for the last 16 months due to the fact hes got a bigger one. if i could snap that one up for a £100 i would be well happy.
  22. my old dog is called Trigger so thats the name i went for on here.
  23. other than finding it hard to fecking walk properly a real good strong can make it hard for you to hold the lamp on the rabbit. to windy it blows the beam about so to speak.
