  6. a hour or so is uasally enough if nothing has started to come back then i dont think it will. different areas can have different feeding times, i think alot is down to time of year and avalibility of food for them. a couple of summers ago me and a mate managed to get many a full days pigeon shooting from 2 different areas only 10 miles apart. the one area was good from 9 in the morning until about dinner time then they just seemed to go and not come back. we would then go to the other area about 3 ish and then shoot to 7 oclock at night or later depending on the day. this spot had feck all
  7. ive got a mountfield petrol mower i had give me. briggs stratton engine. its a bloody good mower but its getting on abit now lol. i treated myself to a brand new honda izzy last tuesday afternoon. it was in the sale as it was last years model, they have changed the colour of this years mowers by all accounts. my mate reckons i should get a good 10 years from it easy. i bought the the one you push yourself as the same mower but self prepelled was a £100 dearer, i couldnt justify spending that much extra on something that does the same job if i push it myself. given the choice i would

    Rspca

had 2 lads from the rspca knock the door thursday dinner time looking for donations cheeky twats. the misses dealt with them because i was out she said she couldnt donate anything as i didnt like them. she said it was something to do with dogs dying in there care and other things. the fookers asked what time she was expecting me back as they wanted a word with me. she told them i would be in about 6.30 that evening and they said they would call back. i got in a 5.20 and and she told me about there visit anyway i thought nothing of it. 10 to 7 there was a knock on the door and it was the 2
  9. fook me jigsaw you must have to much time on your hands being able to find and look at stuff like that on the tinternet. i always have a quick flick through the topics you start though
  10. i had a good bloody talking to by a farm worker a week or so ago about dogs killing sheep on the farm a few weeks previous. luckily for me they are fully aware my dog is stock broken and allowed me to carry on as normal. also lucky for me they had shot the dog which was responsible it damn near cost me some permisson though and that would have probably had a knock on effect.
  11. i hope it just a faulty pressure gauge. you can fir the first 8 to 10 shots and look at the pressure gauge after each one and you can see its moved. been out with the gun today 50 bar for the first mag 25 bar for the second on 3 occasions going by the guns gauge. what gets me is both the gauge on the gun and filling bottle read 200bar on refill. whats the chances of both gauges being faulty.
  12. guy in pub has a point there. they would be fast fit and experienced hares.
  13. thanks for the info lads ive been back to the dealers today and the gun was using 10 bar per shot when they fired it but wasnt loosing power according to the chronograph. the gun was stripped and checked for leaks and none were found they then fired 60 shots from a fill before the gun started to loose power then 66 shots on the second fill. as i need the gun over the next fortnight they were happy for me to bring the gun home and use it. they tell me they will speak to whierach and inform them of the problem, and have asked i keep a note of how the gun performs over the next 2 weeks.
  14. its made no difference to performance grouping is spot on and power seems the same with every shot.
  15. no i havent mate. i thought it might be the reg. i dont have acsess to a chronograph.
  16. i was after some advice on my hw100kt. i was out using the gun yesterday and had filled it to 200bar before leaving the house i used 12 shots out of my first magazine and just happened to look at the gauge on the gun and it read 90bar. as luck happened i had my bottle with me and filled the gun back to 200bar popped a new magazine in and continued shooting, anyway in my excitment i used the whole of the magazine and looked at the gauge and the gun read 160bar so i popped the other mag in and had another 6 shots and the gauge read 150bar. i got back to the car and just topped the gun ba
  17. stock breaking is a must with all dogs imo. good to see folk making the effort to get it sorted. none stock broken dogs cause nowt but hasell i had a firm talking to on thursday from a farm worker about a load of sheep that have been killed by dogs local recently. luckily for me they know my dogs are stock or else i would have lost the ground to have a mooch on. although there is not much game on there its just handy for a walk out on ocassions.
  18. She's taller than her mum but weight wise I'd say there wasn't much in it at the minute. She's got more of a slender shape to her than her mum. They'll be nearly 8 months now bloody hell it only seemed like 5 minutes ago they were ready to leave the bitch. it would be nice to see some pics of the others. i know a couple of members of here had one.
  19. how old are the pups now dean? looks like yours is a touch heavier than the mother hows it shaping up build wise?
  20. few years ago me and a mate were rabbiting one night, it was in jan .it was cold night and the ground was very hard, so we kept by the wood so it was not over exposed , and bit softer ground there . we came to one field and the gate was stuck froze solid to the floor , the gate was only open 10in wide , no way could we get through it, the dog only just about, we couldn't move it no feckin way.anyway we climbed over, start to walk the edge of field , when thedogs shot off in front . then they went to wards us flat out behind a red hind , the deer ran past hit the gate if it was like fecki
  21. pop it in the airing cupboard for 24 hours to dry it out steady and i reckon it will work. i wouldnt want to place a bet on accurate it will be with depth readings though.
  22. great stuff fuji. i like the first pic amongst these photos as it looks a great place to have a mooch about.
  23. ive got a hw100kt in 177 and was thinking about getting a A&M cylinder for it and was wondering what the plus points were with one. and does it keep the gun nicely balanced.
